danteszzz: come on man the 1st one is in game footage and the others are gameplay seriously no one forced us to buy the game in the 1st place they said w8 for the reviews and then buy if u like no one put a gun to ur head and made u belive it and buy it
In-game footage and gameplay are the same thing, so not sure what you're talking about... You also don't seem to get it at all. PC players were the ones that made CD Projekt even possible. We've supported them since the first Witcher game, and now we are getting the middle finger basically. It's extremely frustrating, especially considering how I've bragged about CD Projekt and how pro PC they are as developers. Thanks CD Projekt for making me look like a jackass.

The bottom line is that there should have been zero sacrifices when it came to the PC. For consoles? Yes. But for the PC to be limited because of consoles? Absolutely not.

in-game footage doesnt have to be gameplay it can be a cinematic cut or in the case of that trailer footage made for the game to highlight the city and other shit. what u seem to be hellbent on is that somehow that was gameplay 100% which is not logical. there is a 3 part gamespot video that explains what made cd project red possible and it aint just the player so stop taking all the credit. as i said before if u dont like it cancel the preorded tell all ur friend u were wrong about cdpr and go cry in the corner and leave other ppl to enjoy the game in peace. why do u have to be so negative about the game i just cant get it anymore.

Games most of the time get downgraded from their original look, I don't see what the problem is, the game still looks fantastic.

Please, don't tell me what to do. These are the forums for discussion. I'm discussing, if you don't like it, you don't need to participate in the dicussion. I have a valid reason to be disappointed in CD Projekt if any of this is even remotely true. Excuses like "it was in-game footage" are just that. Excuses.

If they had specified that the game wasn't going to look like that long before now, than it would have been fine, but they didn't.

As it is it looks like in-game foliage, draw distance, and particle affects took a heavy hit if what is being shown can be trusted.

Why do you care so much about the graphics, they still look really good, maybe not as good as CDPR said they would be, but still good. I know it's a bit of a dissapointment, but what can you do, eh? I'm also sure you play the witcher for it's amazing story, lore, cast of characters and it's world, not some HD trees and grass.

Vote with your wallet Beligerent. Wait till after the release and see what pc reviewers show. Sadly I too fell into the awesome early bling bling possible end game goodies. I preordered. I will continue to support cdprojekt till I have the game and test it myself. I have friends who are waiting to hear what I say. I hope the visuals better than those lastest console teasers.

Sadly after this incident I'll never preorder from cdprojekt.. I find it abit shady they way they handled this.
I figured by preordering Witcher 3 I'll show my support to them and in return cdprojekt's stay true to us pc gamers.. I might have been wrong. In todays world money talks the rest walks. That's just a reality we face.

So vote with your wallet. Be patient.

I care because CD Projekt were basically one of the only companies that were pushing the limitations of what the PC could actually do, they were PC developers first (they even as much as stated so). Now they've suddenly changed to appeal to the console crowd too, even though, financially, PC players have been the ones that have overall supported both the first two Witchers, with consoles hardly making a dent in sales numbers compared to PC sales numbers.

From a logical standpoint, putting all their eggs in one basket (consoles), makes no sense. PC players are going to be the majority who buy the Witcher 3 because they have been here from the very beginning when the first Witcher originally came out.

I also care because I feel like I can no longer trust CD Projekt Red, and they were basically the only game developers that I trusted before this. It's not a good feeling to lose trust, even if it just for a game company. It's concerning when a game developer like CD Projekt Red, who specialize in PC development, look to be catering to consoles.

PC gaming isn't being pushed as of late due to consoles. I continue to see PC games that resemble console ports, over and over again, and it is disheartening. We are not using PCs to their full extant and the market is growing stagnant, and in my opinion it is due to consoles holding back the capabilites of what PCs can truly accomplish.

That is why when I see a great company like CD Projekt Red seeming to suddenly change from catering to their original audiance (the PC crowd) to a new audience (the console crowd), it concerns me. I mean, what does this mean for Cyberpunk 2077? Are we getting a console port for that now, instead of an awesome sci-fi/distopian (not sure if this is exactly correct, but from what I've garnered Cyberpunk 2077 is along the lines of Fallout 2 and/or System Shock 2) RPG?

I agree with you on the fact they should cater more for their PC player thans their Console players, but I still believe CDPR are one of the best developers out there, as they are very trustworthy and are quite fair to the players. I mean I guess I can't complain to much as I didn't pay for the game (got it free with my 960) but I did buy the originals and was gonna buy this one anyway, so I agree with you completely that they should give us more support as PC players, as without us they wouldn't exsist.

They have gone and crafted a beautiful believable world that reacts to your input, and or proceeds onward without it. Which might be the largest yet in gaming history for this type of game.

Before we go preaching the end times... lets lay down the pitch forks, call back the mob and wait for the release.

Oh please, I see you defending everything about this game and CD Projekt Red all over these forums, and you've yet to see the game or how it plays. How are you at all any different?

My opinion isn't shaped by others, I can see the evidance for myself. Look it up online if you don't know what I'm talking about. There are screenshot comparisons and revent PC streams from IGN and Twitch.

I also haven't "trashed" CD Projekt Red. I've been nothing but polite, I actually have respect for the company, I am just disappointed with what looks to be their choice to priorotize consoles over PCs for the Witcher 3.

i speak from the facts and you speak subjectivly because u feel too much of the negativity. ive looked everything up online i could about the game and the screens i could find, but no ur hellbent on that one shit site with an annonymus insider shit with no specs confirmation and shit. i dont know how many times i have to explain the diff of pure gameplay and in game footage but since logic doesnt work on you ill just give up on that. the game look pretty good on ign plays live with alot of stuff on OFF and the xml file not edited to max so stop using ign as an excuse.
and yes u have been trashing cdpr about honesty and faith and shit but u dont seem to get it at all they dont prioritize consolse they want more ppl to buy so they can make more money so they can make more games, but somehow u cant see the economic side of things. and off ill defend them because u are attacking them and judging them guilty without a trial. u are getting to emotional over this downgrade and its just gona ruin everything for a stupid reason. let it go ffs and w8 for the game

What are you even talking about? It's pretty sad when people can't hold a normal discussion, even if they may not agree on everything, without name-calling and accusing people of untrue things. My life is perfectly fine thank you, and has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

You say you speak from the facts yet haven't said any... Okay. No, I haven't trashed CD Projekt Red. So that is actually a lie, not a fact. Please learn the meaning of "trashing" because you apparently don't know what that means. I've expressed my disappointment, which is completely different.

Also, is it really that hard to use semi-decent grammar? Maybe your native language isn't English, but it's kind of painful to read text speech on a forum (probably the writer in me).
