Goodmongo: But as I said it is not Geralt or what he would do. Witchers don't horde stuff. Peopl are complaining for more realism yet this is one area that is extremely unrealistic.
anomaly: I'm intrigued as to why this is a problematic wish for you? It would not affect you in the slightest if the mechanic were allowed in the game as you would obviously not use it. Likewise, just because you play the character one way does not mean we are not allowed to re-imagine him in a different way.
Darthspudius has given the best answer but there are others.
First off this argument is a fallacy. I can say that I want nuclear bombs or cars int he game and no one should complain because they don't have to use them. Yes I went way overboard to enhance the point. But the point is just because some won't use a mechanic doesn't mean it therefore should be included.
The devs had a reason not to include storage. Especially since doing so I think is rather easy to do. If I was a betting person I would wager that the subject came up and it was discarded. Just like their design decisions surrounding alchemy and their components. They really don't want you to hoard stuff. This is not how Geralt or witchers in general are in this world of theirs.
They really wanted to force players to make hard choices. What do I keep, what do I sell, what can I take and what must I leave behind. In some places they did a good jobs while in others their lofty goals fell short. But it is fairly safe to assume this was their design intention. BTW I based this not on the game alone but their interviews, comments and other things they've said abount the game.
So I'm against it not because I wouldn't use it. But because it goes against the design that they wanted to deliver.
