So let me get this straight... a bunch of pirates get to play the game early but legal owners of the game still have to wait next week?

And to top it off CD says they will still let the pirates have the patches for the game.

Well that's just crazy.

What pirates are u talking about ? No skid or other can play it before may 19th coz they have no exe file or day 1 patch. And the ones sold in UAE are legal copys of the game not pirated .

Don't be a fool. Pirates only have the game preloaded, just like that. One thing is cracking a game, another is coding the remaining parts, and I highly doubt of reloaded, skidrow, etc. being able to do that in less than a week.

Then there is your answer. Its crap, I know, but the game inst supposed to be out yet and places started selling it early. I'd love to have it release early so I can play it over the weekend but I doubt that will happen.

At first I thought you were saying that the scene groups wouldn't be able to crack it for a week after release but I guess I have reading comprehensions. :) Yeah, you are right, there is no way they can crack the game in the following week (13 to 19 March), but sadly since the game is DRM-free it will be uploaded on the torrent trackers mere hours after release. :( But I don't think it is entirely bad - I even believe that a descent part of the pirates are gonna buy the game.

What I don't understand, to be honest, is if the game is already packaged and finished, why do we have to wait until the 19th? Is it to pump the hype and make the fanbase drown in drool? Because I'm neck deep in my own drooling by now just by thinking about the game.
I even dreamt I was Geralt's sidekick...

Releasing the game 19th gives them a bit more time to make micro patches on release for bugs reported by reviewers

Sure! I'm a pirate myself, but I really liked this game, so I spent all my savings buying it.
