Hm. i didn't get the $16 codes. Dammit i even picked the games :P
Where do I register my GAME KEY? Is the registration site up already?
You need to wait for the game (on May 17th) and when you're launching the game it will probably ask you for the key or on 17th within your GOG account
No cd-key in my mail either. Button for bonus game is present though.

No cd-key when viewing in text format either.

I have a question about the serial key. Do I need to keep that email for forever, or is there a way to access it some other place after it installs or on the site?

Also, I can't use it till we can install correct?

you can use http://www.gog.com/en/page/my_tw2_info/ for your serial key and yes the key is used to register your game.
I was looking through the steam valid CD key list for games that can be activated on the service and noticed witcher 2 was on the list, however my CD key doesn't work.

That kind of stinks and is a bit unfair. I could have gone for a nice hard copy of the game with physical extras but opted for the gog version to support the developers.

Is it that the gog version is singled out as not being allowed to be activated on steam?

(yes, I know I have the ability to get it from gog, but there's a massive appeal to have products available for download and install at the push of one button and all my games in one place whenever possible.)

I've heard twice today that only the Russian 1C boxed version got that opportunity, so I'm inclined to believe it. So... if you're truly in the US like your location shows, getting the boxed version wouldn't allow you to do this, either.

If you wanted it on Steam you should of get it from Steam, but since you never paid any money to Valve don't expect them to offer any service to you.

I've activated at least a dozen games on Steam that I didn't purchase through Steam. If they didn't want me activating games on their service without giving them money they wouldn't make it the first option on the "games" pulldown menu, would they?

Anyway, what 227 makes sense if that's the case. I was just hoping it was an oversight or something. I purchased it where I wanted to purchase it, however it would have been nice to have the added bonus of additional convenience.

Yes, i did not say you can't, I just said that if you needed that you should have purchased it from them directly. Separate game activations is a different thing and it's up to the publishers ( NamcoBandai ) or devs ( CDPred ) if they want to _let_ you do that too, since this surely costs them some moneyz.

SHJordan: Where do I register my GAME KEY? Is the registration site up already?
Hi everybody. I just bought the Witcher 2 and am having a similar problem

I have the CD Key but I don't know where to enter it. From the Witcher 2 launcher I did register the game, but it didn't ask for my CD Key. Is that normal? Or is there somewhere else where I need to enter the CD Key?

The game was purchased through gog.com, and is the 2.0 version.

edit: I just read this thread -
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/registration_closed_with_patch_1_2
Does that mean the CD Key is not needed?
