After the Blue Stripes are all put to death, and after Ves tells you about her experience, Geralt tells Roche that 'Ves is lying'

About what? In fact doesnt that King whatshisbeardedface confirm what she said?

Just finished my first run through the game btw. (Roche's path)
That was only Geralt saying that's what he thinks. It doesn't mean he's right. But yes the King confirmed that he did rape Ves.
I remember that too, never could figure out what Geralt ment by that.

Maybe it was her idea, to save her own skin or something. The king seemed to think she didnt mind it. If I remember correctly

Basically Ves simply left out the fact that Henselt raped her and Geralt figured it out.
Seemed a little heartless from Geralt at that point. Oh well. That's the price of politics I guess :D
What I remember is that Geralt thinks she is lying about something because Dethmold wouldnt let her live.

Thats what i remember too.

Was hoping to be able to talk to her after that but can't find her anywhere :(
Not to condone what the King did, but Ves' own Blue Stripes members are constantly chatting about how raping and pillaging are THEIR kind of fight (for that matter, pretty sure Roche confirmed just that in the prologue when reporting to Foltest). Which would sort of imply they do these acts a lot. ;p Which made it, from an in-game context point of view, a bit hard for me to have sympathy with her. Obviously, from our modern world view, it's totally inexcusable.

Just saying, while we should condemn Henselt for his rape, it seems a tad strange no one is up in arms over the Blue Stripes and their raping as well. ;)

Also, yes, Geralt was insinuating that there must be a reason why Dethmold let her live, thus why he said she was lying. That never played out in any way though in the story, so it was either something from an earlier build before they trimmed the story, or it was never meant to amount to anything and just serve as atmosphere for lack of a better word.

I didn't read this, but if it's a spoiler, why do you have to write half the spoiler in the thread TITLE???

That goes for every person who thinks it's okay to write their spoilers in the title, so you can't avoid it. Write *spoiler* on the outside and the content on the inside, okay?

bingo.
Conjecture: Perhaps I am the only one that thought that this was the perfect opportunity for the Henselt line to be illegitimately continued in the next game installment. A surprise if you will?
He has a dozen more bastards.

soldiergeralt: bingo.
Nope.

Geralt says Ves is lying after she already admited, through her dialogues, the rape by Henselt. What Ves left out was that Deathmold raped her too. And yes, i'm aware that Deathmold preferes men, but i'm pretty sure he raped her just the same.

Y'all need to hide ya kids, hide ya wife, and hide ya husband too 'cause they're rapin' errybody out here.

Seriously, I didn't even consider the fact that he might have raped her, too. Watching from the sidelines, maybe, but actively participating? Is there anything specific that made you think that?

Yes.

Geralt mentions Ves lying specifically in regards to Deathmold "just letting her go" . He didn't, he raped her first.

Deathmold obviously both hates women and loves to humiliate women. He wouldn't pass any chance to humilliate any woman and rape is pretty effective at doing just that.
