I tend to ramble, so I'll try to avoid it, but just to let a bit of it seep into this post: I absolutely adored the Witcher (the first one, that is) and so far, I'm having a very difficult time of getting the sequel to grow on me, which is a shame, because I desperately wanted to like it, but so far it's really putting up a fight.
And now to the point. I've only just started playing, but I'm wondering whether what I'm seeing is normal, so rather than play onwards and see if the issue persist, I'm posting already: I'm in that courtyard where you're supposed to fire a ballista, which I think is the first time I might have an opportunity to loot my kills (a feature which seems pretty integral to most RPGs).
But, I can't. Since you apparently have to fire your medallion just to know if someone has got something in their pockets, I do exactly that, and a corpse starts shimmering/glowing orange. Okay, so I walk up to it, and ... nothing. I can't seem to loot it, examine it, or search it. What I can do is turn my back on it for a split second, that'll make it disappear, but there's no loot left behind. However, I do randomly find bags on the ground with orens, iron rings, or cloth, but they're not located in such a way as to originate from any of my kills (although I understand that's where they must be coming from.)
Am I the only one seeing this strange behaviour?
