mtdew332: Then dont play it.
Seriously, every darn pc game nowadays has bugs/glitches and we all deal with them at one time or another if youre a gamer.
And all of us no doubt have had to play games with bigger issues than this.
Its the "nature of the beast" of pc gaming and so many different combination's of hardware.
I cannot believe people let something like this from playing a great game.
Well that is your choice, but complaining its a bug and needs to fixed ASAP isnt getting you anywhere.
CDP could just as easily post that its a "bug" with our hardware and we all need 1080p monitors instead and we need to fix it.
You CAN play, you just dont WANT to.
I have been gaming on the PC since 1993 when the origional Doom came out. I work in IT and am well aware of the nature of the beat of pc gaming. By the way we do agree on a couple things. They are as follows:
1. This game was made for consoles in mind.
2. This is not a bug. This is due to #1 which is why it is not acceptable to me.
I own all the consoles so let me clarify I am not a pc gaming eliteist. That being said when a company releases a game on PC there is no reason the port needs to be anything but great. You look at games like Batman Arkham Asylum , Transformers War for Cybertron, just about any game from Bethesda, and Mass Effect 1 and 2 amoung others and you see developers that develop correctly for the PC.
Ebon-Hawk let me ask you something if it's so not profitable to focus on PC releases why did CDP do so well with the Witcher? Why are pc only developers Valve, and Blizzard two of the top grossing studios in the industry?
As a long time PC gamer I accept that there will be issues out of the box with most titles. That being said I also expect that something as standard as 16:10 resolutions to be fully supported without black bars. I garuntee you that you would never see a Valve or Blizzard game released with those black bars present.
