Doofdilla: Hi,

could you please re-add my mod to the list again? Even if it is on Witchernexus? I'd rather remove it from Witchernexus then from here

Thanks for all your efforts

Xealot42: I removed it because listing every mod on the nexus exceeds the character limit for the first post. I thought I would just list mods only posted on the forums as they can be harder to find. But If everyone uploads their mods to the nexus this thread wont even be necessary.

If anyone has a more elegant solution I'm all ears!
A GOG specific list is important I think but that's what my recommended thread is for now I suppose.

Xealot42, would you have an issue with my thread being stickied instead, under the new circumstances? It still links to yours (and Nexus).

Doofdilla: I feel somewhat punished for using nexus :( But its your thread, your rules ...
I am sorry you felt that way as it was not my intent. But the modding community took off so quickly that I ran out of room in the first post due to the forum restrictions. But I think that is a good thing. It shows that there is already a passionate modding community out there and I can't wait to see what is produced.

I've slimmed the original post as much as I could but the forums are still pretty restrictive on what I can fit in there. I don't mind keeping the thread updated with whatever info the community thinks should be there as long as it will fit.

No issue at all. If the mod database sites become popular we should only need links to those. This thread served well as a temporary solution but it has become clear that the modding community has outgrown it already!

I'd already suggested for a storage chest mod in the inns, in the neigbourhoud of the barkeepers, but without official mod tools this seems impossible.

Is it possible however to be able to save your items with the innkeepers themself (like in the witcher 1). Somehow rewriting some xml lines so that instead of you selling your stuff, you deposit it instead, an you can easily retrieve it.

Doesn't seem that hard. Set the sell and buy value with the innkeepers to zero, so that you can freely trade items between you and the innkeeper, and make it that once you "sold" aka deposited your items, it doesn't go away and doesn't refresh after some time.

That would be a cheap solution for storage space. After all, the only thing innkeepers self is FOOD JUNK.

If somebody could do this or has a better idea let us know.

ericneo: Here's a few I made up just for those who want to have some fun in a few minutes.
I'd like to do something better like make new and custom abilities but at the moment I just don't have the time to search all the files. If the topic creator could file and zip them nicely it would be great.

Armor mod, now do 10 times normal stats.

Mutagens mod, now also has 10 times normal stats. Works well with the mod to allow every slot to allow Mutagens.

Runes mod, completely overpowered runes for weapons.

You can pick and choose which ones you want to use by putting them inside the items folder inside CookedPC, and you can mix things up as you want. Also thanks for the unpacker.

Uhm...I just tried your mod and it's way too OP.

my silver sword does like 2000 base damage or so, on the moon blade. That's too excessive.

maybe if it was simply mutagen enhancements, like add 20% to mutagen stats...

Great, thanks.
And yeah, I'm quite impressed with what everyone has done with so little resources and time. Based on this I'm guessing we'll see mod tools before long.
I don't know if this has been addressed however does anyone know if there will be an official set of mod tools?

You could make a new thread and reserve the next 3-5 posts by posting reserved/10char or what not and then edit them and add in information as need be.

PC Format: Do you have anything planned for modding tools or DLC?
Tomasz Gop: Nothing particular, but the we'd like to do it and probably will. Because, with the Witcher 1, we were writing the engine throughout the whole process of producing the game, and it's the same with the Witcher 2, so the engine's not ready to be published yet. But after the release of the Witcher 1, we needed to take some time to polish the editor itself for modders...and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the case this time round too.

Thanks! That's very promising to hear.

soldiergeralt: why not just use moddb? seems a lot easier to navigate than the nexus as well. no video pop ups upon downloading.

eRe4s3r: File Uploads on moddb require verification...
They only checks if files don't contains viruses, malware. If uploaded file is clean, they never rejects it.

Yeah, but i still rather have control over what i upload and who verifies it. From what i seen, Moddb can take up to a day to update files for mods (that require updating ,p)

And that said, moddb is a huge bother to upload a mod too, compared to that nexus is like swimming in the pool on earth, while moddb is like swimming on jupiter.
thanks for your time and effort topic creator :) interesting stuff
