See...I've learned a long time ago that there are some things that only works in real life and not on the internet: Reading between the lines, judging people of what they say (because they don't say it, they write it) and trying to figure peoples intentions by reading what they wrote.

That's why I use smilies. I use them to hint when I'm not being serious, when I'm being sarcastic and so on.

You can either think what you want or trust me when I say: When I wanted that to be serious I would've used no smilie at all (frankly I actually don't know how to do *angry*-smilies just by using symbols).

What's even more important is that I apologized. Literally. Without any hints to make you think twice about it. Unless you want it of course.

So whatever you learned...it's not a general truth as far as I'm concerned. You should reconsider how you use that knowledge in my opinion.

Because there's no point discussing the obvious: Of course this should work as advertised. Of course there are games that do it better. And of course there should be a real solution to the problem.

Our only hope is that the developers pick it up and fix it in a patch. We already did what we could reporting the problem here, usually the devs look into this forum.

About the general issue of non-XInput-controllers: Have a look at XPadder. I keep hearing it's a pretty handy tool that lets you assign controls to DirectInput gamepads. I don't use it myself, as I've been using the X360-controller for quite some time now (and am very content with it - unlike you, I think it's ergonomy is near-perfect), but it sounds like a decent workaround.

This is not meant to undermine your general complaint about the disregarding of all gamepads, but the X360, lately. I'm on your side in this and don't like the 'monopoly' MS is trying to enforce in the matter, either. I just thought I'd mention XPadder, in case you haven't heard of it.

Can't blame her. Some people add smilies in an attempt to get away with some potentially offensive post (offensive as in making people upset). It is equivalent to saying something rude while preceding it with "No offense", or concluding it with "just joking!". So yeah, it is a bit hard to tell whether you intend what you say or not, with or without the smilie.

On the other hand, if the other person says "Bazinga!", then, well, that's a different case...

You're blowing this way out of proportion. All I made was a joke about the game not liking console gamers, picking up the current (and totally unnecessary) bashing of console gamers. I don't share the same position, I don't have anything against console players btw.

The "Games for Windows" certification simply means, as far as controllers are concerned, that IF a game supports controllers, it must at the very least support the Xbox 360 controller.

It doesn't mean that every Games for Windows game has controller support, some don't and they can still gain certification as long as they meet all the other requirements.

Thank god I stopped caring about something like this, when people try to put words into my mouth or claim to know that I meant something dead-serious...claim to know me, by just reading a few sentences. Of course these people are always 100% sure that there is not the slightest possibility they MIGHT have gotten something wrong. No way, impossible, never.

Back in the days I would've been be totally pissed, both about me not being able to communicate my true intentions and about that person being such a bullhead about it, not even trying to see the positive and concentrating all on the negative.

I learned to ignore that. It happens. Not very often though, usually people know the rules of internet communication. Good luck on improving on that, you surely need it.

I'm sure this bug will be fixed since the xbox version means everyone will be using controllers. Seems like something like this would be a huge priority given how high-profile that release is, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. More a question of "when" than "if," at this point.

If you had really stopped caring, you would have stopped like 3 posts ago, or at least stopped when she said, "I accept your apology and offer to bury the hatchet about this subject." I'm not saying that everything she said is correct, but you seem to aggravate the situation when you're trying to explain what you actually mean by your posts.
Can you post a video or something about this? Using FRAPS or Camstudio to record? I mean, a visual proof goes further in making your case and helps to bring attention to the issue at hand.

I could post a video, but the problem is that it's nowhere near as bad when FRAPS is running.

It only spins half a turn, whereas if I don't have FRAPS on, it will turn 2-3 times.

I don't think a video would help much anyway, it's not hard to visualise the camera spinning several times.

The important bit is that it doesn't happen when you have a weapon, that should make it easier to resolve.

And try to see it from my perspective: I made a joke and when she (??) felt offended I tried to explain the situation and apologized. It was the first thing I did. Read it up, this is what happened.

Seems like weird things happen when you don't have weapon. For one, medallion is more unresponsive.
