What's this about auto targetting?

From my experience you can pretty much select which target you want to hit since whatever enemy is dead center on the screen is your target. And its clearly highlighted too since the target's name is the only one shown.

As long as I don't button mash, I can pretty much jump from one target to another.

I agree with "The lack of "fast travel" and tendency for the game to force players back up through a dungeon after they've fought their way down adds to the boredom"
I actually got really angry and left the game there for days after I saw Triss teleporting herself around without taking me with her, but forcing me to walk around to find my way back.

I know what you are saying, and am not talking about this yet you are in the 2nd step of a fight, first step is separate them, btw I can select who I want to fight while fighting I know exactly who am going to hit next and I have no clue how this game plays with a keyboard, probably it's a keyboard thing...?

stop trolling, the 1st witcher was way better at making you handle 3-5enemies!

I think it's an honest opinion, not trolling but I agree with you about TW handling better 3-5 enemies.

Thats because in TW1, the other enemies were usually much more polite about waiting their turn. Mobs of enemies in Witcher are downright rude, and dont seem willing to let you just plant and whack away at one person until they're dead, move on to the next, repeat. I think I had to dodge maybe twice in that game. *snore*

This happens when enemies are close to each other. I know what you mean, your tactic is to run around separate them and pick them one by one. I did that too because I had no choice, because of two reasons:

1. Auto aiming which gets you in trouble when enemies are close to each other.
2. Geralt not being able to move in one direction and still keep facing his opponents.

Have you noticed how strange this is and how it affects combat? Why did CDP did this is beyond me but I hope they will fix it. :)

Maybe this is how you played it, but after leveling up a little I had no problem getting in the middle of a mob, cutting them to pieces while easily evading when surrounded. In TW2 you run and roll all over the place, turning your back to opponents (now that's really smart) and pick them one by one because they separate chasing you. *snore*

After I saw that video of the destructoid interviewer trolling the maker of tetris in person I see them as a big bunch of trolls that act like they are some how professional journalists or some thing. Taking them serious is falling for troll bait.

No, thats exactly my point. In TW1, you had no problem getting into the middle of a mob, and cutting them to pieces, one by one. Enemies were content to let you do it. Dodging was a novelty for most of the game, and enemies didnt aggressively flank you. Or if they did, they rarely made much of it.

Letting yourself get surrounded in this game has lethal consequences, and it damn well should.

One of the reasons it is so different is because it is optimized for gamepad.

I have no problems playing the game but there are some aspects of the combat that I don't like so much.

But since you play with gamepad it's not a problem for you. But, anyway, the fact that Geralt can't walk backwards or sidestep doesn't seem a little strange to you? In The Witcher you could do that. Have you played The Witcher?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game just as much as you do. :)
