mastorofpuppetz: How is the game is out on PC and not even finished on console an opinion? How is the game utilizes the latest hardware on PC an opinion? How is Gamepads have been used on PC's since the 80's an opinion?
All of these are true statements. It has nothing to do with my position on the interface though. Absolutely nothing. None of these three points addressed one of my arguments on why I feel like this.
Even if you could refute opinions, you'd have failed. To successfully refute, the counter-argument must be related to the original argument. Or if you prefer, more carefully, in case you are indeed not a troll but simply a young pupil in need of eye opening.
1. "How is the game is out on PC and not even finished on console an opinion?" [sic]
It's true. However, it doesn't mean the plans for a quick console release have not influenced design changes that would otherwise not have been made had the game remained a PC exclusive. It's my contention that the game's interface would have remained closer to the one of the first game, which I liked a lot more, had there been no plans for a console release. It's a subjective opinion. Does not require refutal.
2. "How is the game utilizes the latest hardware on PC an opinion?"
PC hardware has nothing to do with the interface as it only affects performance and graphics. Whether you play on a 2.86, a P3, a dual or octo core, the interface will perform, act and be the same. As such, this statement has absolutely no ties or links whatsoever with my original post. Does not require refutal.
3. "How is Gamepads have been used on PC's since the 80's an opinion? "
That is true, but again, has nothing to do with my position. Statistically, and this is a
fact because statistics is an
objective science, gamepads represent a small minority or used control peripherals on PC. However, 100% of console owners use gamepads. It would be illogical to design an interface for a PC exclusive game that will never be played on consoles, and make it so that it's optimized for controls only a small minority of the targeted clientel uses.
This supports my theory that the plans for a console version altered some designs to be less optimized for PC than it could have been otherwise. The fact the peripheral in question has existed since the 80s is truly irrelevant, as it still is a minority in PC peripheral use.
