My opinion is that the game is designed from the ground up for console and PC. Many people not have idea about TW2 news in the mass media , there are a lot of links in the web about the console version . Maybe Tomas Gop or the CEO of CD proyect in the last month are bad sources ?

The first and global presentation in Russia in in alpha or prototipe state with a gamepad - PC territory at 90 % where very few people use gamepad. . Something strange, however much some players play with a gamepad on the PC, can lead to confusion I have seen many videos and pictures of these events about games in Russia and is very rare to see a PC game presented with a gamepad. By the way was the country where most sold TW

And the answer of the "cameraman" - I ask he about the topic
After the game is presented many times with a gamepad, but in summer of 2010 there is a change . The announcement of the PC exclusivity in GOG ,when the boom of digital download on Steam and GOG. And by magic , the gamepad is not more necessary to present the game;) in the presentations

'But what about a console version' I hear you cry. Well, the news is definitely good, despite the depressing failure of the original version to make it to the 360 or PS3. "It's the first console project we would like to do," Bartkowicz confirms. "We need to do it in house. In the end we decided not to do it outsourced.
We've been running some tests, and putting a small part of the game just to make sure we're not cheating anyone. We can show it to you, it is possible."
You can play The Witcher 2 with joypad - it's implemented. The whole interface is designed with console in mind, in fact."
The statements by the CEO of CD project in April 2011

They says .. "a new complete proyect " but realy I have also read the same CEO in a new on a Polish site . I think that was puting by a polish on the old forum TW The CEO said that the console version will be released after , that they can not announce nothing because can detract the sales of PC . You can play the 360 version this year ;)
Another prove is the aspect of the game we've all seen - and I not talking about the graphics
