Because it's fun. No need to REEEEE about it.

McMicroDonalds: I consider this game to be really expensive. I mean look at Dusk. It's way cheaper and way better.
Dusk is an old school fast FPS, I wouldn't even play it if it was free, not my cup of tea.

Terminator is a first person action RPG with quests, branching dialogues, an inventory, hacking and lockpicking minigames... it has more in common with Mass Effect, including the lame combat gameplay and the romances than with Dusk. But you are right, it's too expensive, and if you add the fact that it's censored, I'll never buy it, that's said, all in all, I understand why it has some positive reviews. It is not worst than most modern FPS with RPG elements if you accept that this is not a triple A game.

It also still has the flaws of the Terminator franchise : why would an AI create robotic soldiers that only have eyes on the front ? outside of infiltration, it's an unncecessary human limitation. Why would it equip it's robots with weapons that have a handle and trigger that can be used by humans ? Why would it create plasma weapons capable of destroying it's robots when conventionnal balistic weapons are enough to kill humans and make it's robots much harder to destroy ?
You know what guys. I'm going to give this game another try maybe I missed something.

McMicroDonalds: There are high reviews on both Steam and GOG but why. This FPS is is just rubbish. It's got awful gunplay and braindead AI. Saying that it's good for a Terminator games sends the message that you'll buy any friggin crap as long as it's lincesd.

I mean the shooting mechanics are just so awful
The game play is NOT awful. It is generic and does nothing new or unique though. It's an FPS shooter with little else of merit gameplay wise. Arguably the worst system in the game is the shallow tacked on crafting that was not needed at all. In fact I did not even put a point in that skill tree until the rest were full and even than I didn't need too. On the other hand the chips to customize guns was an enjoyable mechanic I thought.

I gave this a 4 out of 5 as 3.5 was not an option and it's better than a 3 IMO. Why? Probably because it is Terminator. I loved the 1st two filmed, and while beyond that there's not many praises to sing. Terminator and T2: Judgement Day are outstanding and iconic films. And this game captures that better than any other terminator game ever has.

The voice acting is well done, and the atmosphere created is so Terminator it made me giddy to traverse through the stages exploring. It's clearly not without it's flaws though either. So fans will ignore flaws and go 5/5, and maybe for them that is true(?) Objectively speaking though there is plenty of room for improvement in game mechanics and game play in general. The enjoyment I got came from the OST and the well crafted world, immersing me in a dystopian future during a war we saw very little of on film. Enough so I could forgive Jen's crazy eyes, I mean c'mon that chicks on drugs right? Look at her eyes!?

My only real disappointment came from the game being too short. I'd say on average most will get 15hrs from it total short of replaying it. And my favorite side characters (Ryan's) dialog tree I could not complete due to a reoccurring fatal error (resulting in a CTD) whenever I tried to initiate further conversation with him.

Otherwise a VERY well presented Terminator game with nothing to write home about game play wise, though nothing so bad I would write home about either. Hopefully seeing what they accomplished at the AA level, someone injects some more money into a sequel that can hold up to other AAA titles out there.

That's not an essay. Unless you struggle with English, it should not take more than moments to read either. And I did read that you wanted to give it another try. I assume that is the post you are referring to(?) Though I fail to see what bearing that has on responding to the question in the OP. Furthermore if you loath reading replies so much, I do not understand why you continue to ask me questions? Is it to be ironic perhaps? In any event while one cannot sing this games praises, it's far from terrible and scratches an itch many fans have had for decades. It does it's source material justice, for the 1st time in a long time. Of course not everyone is a fan, or old enough to have fond memories of the earlier films in the franchise. So not everyone is going to find value in this game at it's current price point.

Implying that I struggle with english while starting sentences off with "and" good one. Contrary to popular belief more words does not mean more effort; it just means more words. Even this response here is more wordy than it needs to be. I digress this is going off topic. Look just post your response again and reduce the amount of words in it.
if he can tell you his stuff with more words then let him.. you are not to tell how he responds in his own way...
The game is pretty dam good...at first it look low budget but...when you set post effects to medium the game looks much more crisp with the option to turn off the Motion blur...Film grain off is a big + the sound is amazing...the aspect of the game comes with the old arcade feel to it...the A.I is slow at times but either vs the static layout the game is worth a good play through
