Thanks for the advice!

I'd copy-paste the changelog but there's quite a few spoiler tags in this one.
So when's this gonna be out on GOG? Makes me kinda wish that I got this game on Steam -.-

there were a "bomb crash" in the 1.0.4 (that ConcernedApe fixed asap it seem) so for once, having a delayed patch isn't too bad. if we don't have to wait hours...
afaik the first patches were delayed because GOG goes quiet on the weekends, so we'll see just how speedy their approval process is today. The work day just began in Warsaw.

In the meantime, we can vote up this wishlist suggestion.
Hopefully the mailbox crash fix is included in the next GOG update.

As of 50 minutes ago, the dev still hadn't sent the patch to GOG, so the delay isn't on GOG's side.

If he did send the patch off before he went to bed, it might be available soon, otherwise it'll be a 6+ hour wait.

Damn.. Is there usually a delay like this with GOG updates on games?

Yup, all the time. While devs can deploy updates directly via Steam these days, GOG is verifying the update files and updating the installers before they deploy any update. This especially frustrating when a game receives frequent updates on Steam or the multiplayer compatibility depends on a patch.

One annoying thing is that Steam has gotten a lot of hotfixes we have not gotten here on GOG. I'm not sure who is to blame and as the end user, I don't really care. It's annoying for us and gives both the developer and GOG a bad name. :\

I noticed this, and just read about it in another board - my crops get devastated by the morning. xD Well, I will have to wait now.

This practice is certainly starting to leave a sour taste in my mouth about GOG. While I tend to purchase any new release that I can through them due to their much more consumer friendly practices, this is a tad concerning.

I can understand the time necessary to update installers since they have the (wonderful) option of standalone installers for the games they host; however, I think that the process of publishing and shipping updates should be much more akin to that of Steam for those of us using the Galaxy client.

Needless to say, It's a sad day when I'm remorseful that I made the decision to purchase a game on GOG rather than Steam.
