gavincolville: Hello! I was wondering, do you plan on improving the phaser arcs to make them a bit more canonical?
I have the BC Supermod 3.0 but its horribly unstable, but the improved phaser arcs make the game so much more immersive.
I would love to see something similar implemented in this mod of yours.
I've been trying to make a phaser arc mod myself but I'm such a novice I simply cant make any progress using the mod editors...

Unlike vanilla Bridge Commander which has the same boring 8 phaser arrangement on the Akira, Nebula, Galaxy, and Sovereign, the Remastered mod puts a phaser on each array on the physical hull, with matching arcs. You'll find it to be quite immersive.

Aye the switch between episode 2 and 3 was always bugged even in the vanilla version.

As far as the Berkley getting destroyed, thats just part of the story.

Hi VonFrank42! It's a pleasure to be able to communicate with you directly on here - thanks to Capt.Sisko for making the connection.

To be honest, I've not been able to launch the vanilla version of the game at all, as it doesn't support the resolution of my screen. I have been able to use the mouse with the Kobayashi Maru mod (and the widescreen mod), but there were issues with the sound not working.

The mouse issue I've encountered is that the cursor is visible when you launch the game, but the moment you move the mouse it disappears off the screen and never reappears. In the quick battle mode, you can still use the mouse buttons to fire weapons, but there is still no cursor or way of clicking to target ships/sub-systems in the side menu. Also, on the bridge during quick battle, the cursor is still not visible, and while moving the mouse does work in this mode, the sensitivity is ridiculously high and any movement just seems to make the camera spin around frantically, and it's impossible to accurately click on anything.

I'm over the moon that GOG have released BC, and I'm even more excited to see that we still have talented developers who are motivated to evolve it into something truly special! Thanks for all your work on this.

Hello!
I'm having some problems with my GPU.
Particularly with this mod.

I'm running on a laptop with an integrated Intel GPU but also a dedicated NVIDIA GPU.
I can't select the NVIDIA card in the graphics options menu. Only the Intel card shows up.
I know this is a vanilla problem but maybe someone here can help me.
This is especially an issue when Starbase 12 is present. Its unplayably choppy...

I never had a crash between Ep2 and Ep3, not vanilla in the gog-version and never in the old disc-release.

The Berkley must survive and normaly she did not get destroyed so fast. Thats not part of the stroy, if you fail you can restart.

I’m getting a crash if I change the resolution.
I prefer to play at 1280-1024 because I don’t like the stretched out look of 1920-1080
I tried to manually change it in the config file but it instantly crashes
Ok. This is ridiculous but I may have found a solution.
Disable your Intel graphics driver in the device manager.
An absurd solution, but it seems to be (kind of) working.
Your gpu will show up as Microsoft Generic.
It doesn’t seem very stable so far… but it’s running off the Nvidia card.
Ughhhhh

Edit: never mind. It seems to be mostly running off of my CPU(!) now!!!

Any plans for MP ?
After finishing the campaign, I wanted to try the Remastered mod.
Well, the game crashes at the start of every single player mode.
Quick Battle? Crash in loading screen.
Single player? Crash in Loading screen.
Additionally the game crashes at start, if any resolution other than 1920x1080 is configured.
You can start the game in 1080p and change the resolution to 1024p afterwards,
but starting with 1024p causes crashes.
Is Anyone hosting a MP server with this mod ?

I have the exact same problem with the mod. Without it the game runs just fine. Well, it's the same problem with all mods modifying the single player campaign. The game can get very unstable. Playing vanilla until anyone finds a fix for it (which I wouldn't count on).


EDIT: I have now added the new starfield from the mod (this is really making a difference) and only a few other textures to at least get a few of those neat improvements. Working just fine.
