squid830: The idea of loaning items to characters is good - personally I'm not sure I would have really liked it if you could just change their gear as if it were your own. Sure most other RPGs do this, but it makes more sense for the other characters to buy their own stuff, yet at the same time have the ability to pass them some gear you pick up on the way (which you'd otherwise only sell if it's not suitable for your character).

I hope that we'll be able to "loan" these items during a mission, so that if we find a kick-ass spell/gun/etc we can just pass it to our buddies at the time. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like that will be possible...
Tell me about it. The endgame was far more difficult than it should have been because of that. I kept wanting to give the Kamize and Premium Medkits we kept finding to Glory, who was all out of gear, but I had to either leave it behind, switch it out for stuff that I was far more likely to use and to better effect, or send it to my stash and never see it again.
What does this mean for people who have Returns but not the Dragonfall DLC? When Dragonfall gets taken down and replaced with the Directors Cut are the only people who will ever have the DLC version are the ones who bought it before the Directors Cut?

In short answer: yes. But that doesn't mean anything as Shadowrun Returns didn't used any Dragonfall files in Dead Man's Switch except different main menu backround and music theme.

Wait, they are taking down the DLC version of Dragonfall? That's... I mean, if they go the FTL route and allow for disabling of the changes they have made (on the off chance that they turn out to be terrible), I might be ok with it, but otherwise I'm really not comfortable with the idea of something I bought getting wiped out in a bizarre form of historical revisionism. I dunno, maybe that's just me.

The original Dragonfall won't get wiped out if you already own it. It just won't be available to anyone who got Dragonfall after the Director's Cut is released.

Dragonfall: Director's Cut FAQ:

What will happen to the DLC version of Dragonfall?

Because they’re both same price, the DLC version will be removed from sale when the Director’s Cut is released. However, if you already own the DLC version, you’ll still be able to access it at any time through Shadowrun Returns. (We’re just removing it from sale, not from your existing library.)

^^ THIS!

That drove me NUTS in the last mission, so as a (really lame) workaround, I force-initiated turn-based combat by getting my decker to hack into the system at one of the nodes. So that meant I could only move my other guys (who I wanted to give the kit to) once every three turns.

Either that or the way I actually did it, which was move everyone except my main character in TB mode - which meant that at the end of every turn it would go back into real-time mode. I had to keep my main character near the jack-in point, so that it would enter TB mode before the other characters could automatically re-join him in RT mode.

In the end it was worth it though, since I was able to use a bunch of grenades in the final battle that I would have otherwise simply lost to my stash.

Of course this doesn't work with weapons - only items like grenades, medkits, chems and the like. But the fact that it IS possible to do this in turn-based mode (for items anyway) makes it SO much more irritating that you can't just pass them to your team-mates. Well except that one time it was explicitly scripted (and then everyone just got one medkit).

fictrix: It's the latter. Fulfill any 2 objectives, but wait until all potential Lodge missions are finished.

The conditions for the Global_Setup_AddLodgeRewardBox trigger are:

* Has not opened box
* Completed any 2 Lodge objectives
* Finished Humanis
* Finished MK VI
* Finished Bloodlines
AHA! I would have completed Bloodlines last after doing all other missions, then gone straight off to see Alice. Then the map changes and I'm pretty sure it's not possible to find on the changed Kreuzbazaar map.

Director's Cut is coming out in less than a day from now! Can't wait for the upgrade. I've far from completed the entire game in general, so it's nifty to have such a packed edition to re-play again. :)

Well, i see that I will be busy this week-end (playing :P )

Today (18 September) SR Dragonfall DC is going to be released, I suppose it will be here at the same time as the steam one (don’t really care I only own the GOG serie :P )

And tomorrow it’s W2 that going to be released :)
When do we get it at GOG, anyone know? They already have it over on steam.

They have a store page on Steam, but it seems you can't purchase it yet. Not in my country anyway. Any info, GOG?
Yeah, I have the DLC on GOG, so I am waiting for my freebie. :)
It's not up for sale yet on Steam. Probably around 10am Pacific time as per usual with the Seattle based company. GoG has similar release times. I've noticed most site changes take place around 10am Pacific for me.

Any Steam user that owned the Dragonfall DLC already has access to Dragonfall Director's Cut and have been playing it since last night.

I can confirm.

Edit: Steam did put up a store front for it. But it isn't 'active' with a buy button as of yet.

*waiting to hear if a 'combat off' button ala fallout has been implemented or not*
There has already been a patch for the steam version, so that could delay things.
