I notice that both the Humble and Steam versions of Risk of Rain have got a Mac version available now... but the GoG version hasn't been updated? Anyone know if we're going to see an update sometime soon? I've just swapped from PC to Mac, and would really like to be able to play Risk of Rain again!

no Linux version either :(
Hey! I'm interested too.
...Still interested. Why do we only get the Windows version? Is it because of some agreement between GOG and RoR's producers?
I have the Mac version of RoR via Humble Store (DRM-free + Steam key). So GOG will probably have a Mac version soon.

Doubtful. It's been a long time since the Mac and Linux ports showed up in a Humble Bundle and the Humble Store catalogue entry still only lists Windows.

When skimming through the purchases on your Humble Store account, there are tabs above the list. Check out the attached picture of my Humble Store account.

I'm not an idiot.

See the attached images for what I was talking about.

That basically means that the developers only allowed Humble to make the ports so they could get into the bundle but don't want to take responsibility for supporting them. (And, thus, don't allow new sales of them)

If you didn't snap up the Humble Bundle offering, you're probably screwed. (That's why, even if I'm not sure I want a game, I beat the average on every Humble Indie Bundle. If I really really like a game, I'll re-buy it somewhere else to give the developer what I think it's worth.)

Some of the games I own via Humble Store weren't bought in Bundles. Some were bought individually, like OTTTD, and came with Win/Mac/Linux versions. Same with Desura.

*sigh* You completely missed the point.

I've bought dozens of games individually on Humble Store. The point is that, if the Risk of Rain Mac and Linux versions aren't being sold through the store, then that's the Humble Store equivalent to GOG no longer offering certain extras (eg. soundtracks) for certain games.

1. People who got them in the bundle get to keep the Linux and Mac ports, but new people can't buy them.
2. Given that the game's already set up to sell through Humble, that means that the developers actively chose to not offer new sales of those ports.
3. If they don't want to offer them on the site where they are already uploaded and in the database for earlier buyers, then what are the odds they'll be willing to provide them to a completely different site like GOG?

Posting this now as a new humble sale for Risk of Rain appeared, and yes it features the mac version as well. Yet the store still only lists the Windows version.

*nod* I suspect it's one of two things:
1. The contract specifies humble bundles, not humble store, so the developers could just dust it off and sign a new copy.
2. The developers feel that, for a humble bundle, Humble Bundle Inc. will handle support while, for Humble Store, they're supposed to handle support.
