MackieStingray: Well, I can see it a couple ways. To me, it plays out like this:
This is a game where you really do have an opportunity to decide who your character is. Ironic, for a character with so much defined history, but the dialogue options tend to be huge. Yes, you can pick fights that kill or maim you permanently. You can, in fact, regularly pick fights that kill you temporarily, just because it's hilarious.
Sometimes, though, a character concept can get you in trouble. Impatient? There's impatient options, but some of them will hurt you.
I think of it this way. This player roleplayed himself into a corner. This is to be applauded, but it does mean he's got troubles he can't solve.
But those troubles are purely because of his decisions, it's not because there is something wrong with the game... It all fits prefectly within the realms of the game mythos, look at all the other 'shit' he's had to deal with because of the things he's done. At the end of the day, the player's impatience has been translated into the actions of the character.. and if the character goes around being impatient with the people who live in the realm, shit is going to happen.
