Usually, I would agree. But not in this case. I install a widescreen mod to get my game in widescreen. That version does exactly what I want to achieve. The newer version don't give me anything but problems. And with crashes, my first intention (to PLAY this game in widescreen) isn't achieved. As enduser I see only the results on screen. So IF there is anything wrong (anything within the code which doesn't effect my experience apparently) with 2.20 I didn't notice so far and it doesn't matter. So there is no logical reason to get the later one (bugfixes are obsolet if it crashes)
Except it doesn't crash any more, of course.
It's good if 3.06 solved the problems I was bothered with but since I'm fully satisfied and in the middle of the game I won't risk anythin and stick with 2.20
