meant give val or amiri a shining helmet. Doesn't exactly matter. And I'd probably toss abadar sacred ekun into the mix for another +2AC for everyone.

I looked at that build of you before actually and really like it despite being lore unfriendly. Just Okbo is quite... big. And having him would also mean I would need Jubi for shield right?

I always play with very small condensed parties. Do you always play with 6? I never did before so I'm unsure if I can hit 20 with everyone at a reasonable pace.

With no exp for skillchecks sharing(at least for persuasion checks) you are guaranteed to hit 20 on MC in pitax tavern. And everyone else will be 18-19 by the time you go into HatEoT where everyone will be bumped to your level. I usually go with 3-4 in A1 since it's just less of an ass cancer to do that way and I turn on full exp sharing after, except I switch it off for persuasion checks. that way it doesnt overlevel you all too much, you get to play level 20 builds a bit sooner and it sets MC a bit apart from everyone which I feel is how it should be. The way I do it is covered pretty decently in unfair guide.

Hi, I am starting a new LE game, and I was wondering what companions I should be using to fill out my party. I am playing a sylvan sorcerer mc, because I enjoy playing full casters, and I would like to use Valerie as a kinetic knight and Jaethal as the true follower of Urgathoa build. So far, I'm thinking Regongar, Nok-Nok, Kinetic Valerie, Jubilost, the kineticist sisters, and my mc (sylvan sorc). I just know that I really don't want do use Linzi or Octavia, as I dislike CG. At the beginning of the game, I will probably bring Tristian or Harrim along for extra heals. I am also going to use the "make Amiri great again" build in place of Nok-Nok before I get him. If you have any advice for what I should do it would be appreciated. (I am playing on challenging by the way)

InEffect made a really nice party composition post that explains what you should have in your party! I recommend reading it.

Reporting a small error.

Varnhold Party: Bard gets a Bard Talent at lvl 6 but your build slot is empty there.

Edit: I assume it's Combat Trick -> Dazzling for that?

You lack the bard mostly. One can turn reggie into one if you have nobody better to do it. Although I'd probably use bard jae and either tristian or harrim for a cleric.

A friend of mine has been trying to make a ranged Bard build for the past few days but he lacks the PnP background. He tried looking up some of your builds and mix them but to no avail.

Therefore I wanted to ask if you have some tips for him, mainly class spread and stats and if it's not too much effort key feats. He knows that Melee Bard is superior but he really wants to play a ranged one with as much damage as possible crammed in. He is playing on Hard if that is important. Not Solo.

Depends on how much of a ranged we're talking about. Really, the only option bard really has would be more of a caster thundercaller. Pretty much stack cha, take evo foci... Add enchantment foci and a level of fey bloodline from whatever class and stack some +enchantment gear. It's ok-ish. Give him a crossbow or something so he doesn't run into melee.

Divine hunter2/Bard 12/EA2/Slayer3/F1 would be close to the best you can do with a physical ranged approach. It's not insane damage, but with accomplished you'd have 6d6 sneak, 16BAB and an extra arrow from EA so that's better than nothing. Bit better, but slower one would be DH2/Ba11/EK5/EA2.

Note that you actually don't want to take 2nd DH level till pretty late. Saves are not worth it, but free feat and smite from DH1 are not too bad. Neither are amazing but then bard has no synergy from range apart from being a support, really. If I had to choose between the two I'd probably go thundercaller. At least it has some reason to exist with fascinate and a ton of decent enough control.

hey @InEffect, love your builds, but was wondering if there's a way to modify one that I'm trying to use in one of my playthroughs to suit my preference? the build in question is your Unfair Kineticist. These are the modifications, I'm hoping you could help with...

Race: Tiefling (unknown lineage)

oh, this is for my MC, and if it matters I went with the Overwhelming Soul Archtype from Call of the Wild
