Have to take a break from the game. Seems like the farther i go the more problems i encounter. Sad to say that i will not recommend this game in the current state to my friends.
name one game of this scope that released without game-breaking bugs. bloody AAA titles do it all the time. and those don't get patched as fast either because they have to do it in line with consoles. also first 50-ish hours are pretty polished apart from some class-related bugs.

Many forum threads about PF:K seems like a psychotherapist's office.
Someone need help to accept the game as t is or wait for a stable version.

Some people could argue that the developer might have taken more time to polish it's product before it's release. As someone having grown up with computer RPGs (pool of radiance on C64 just to name one) i came accross some releases that were extremely buggy on release (Temple of Elemental Evil), but these days it is almost a wonder if a game has no game braking bugs. A development I really don't like and when people complain about bugs it is there given right to do so - they paid money for getting a finished product. I wonder what you would say if you were to buy a car and the vendor tells you that the motor will be delivered seperately or finding out that somebody cheated on exhaust emissions.

And while they fix bugs, every new patch almost always comes with new ones, too. For now i came accross a ton of bugs - most of them i didn't bother, i just ignored the quests related to them or did cope with them somehow - but the latest I discovered really sucks: Can't trade with Hassuf on the new shiny market place anymore. In such instances I would have wished for less detail with less bugs.

So yes! I can understand people complaining about a product they paid money for. If we pay the full price at release we can - and we should - demand polished products. Defending a company with lame excuses like "scope" is just stupid. The solution to this - and it would hurt companies more than spending more time on quality insurance would be to ignore products that are buggy and not buying them (at least not at full price - maybe at a 75%+ sale) - want an example where it worked: X3.
I can't believe how fucked up the pitax chapter is , how can you play 60-80 hours and all the things you have done is going to fucked you because the game is full of game ? how do they think people will want to play the game after that ?! it's just pure bullshit
the state of the market is such every company has to do that or suffer losses. there comes a time when you just have to cut unfinished content and push the product out to earn money that will allow to finish the game essentially. if anything it is understandable for indie devs like owlcat. the simply can't afford months of big QA team and even then finial version will have bugs as they can't reproduce all the hardware.

when AAA titles do that - now that\s bull.

so imo send your bugs to owlcats tech team and help them make the game better by pinpointing those pesky bugs. just ragging on them won't help. the game is pretty amazing at the core.

Q: "Can we have a game without 100+ bugs?"

A: Eventually.

I'm trying so hard to get past Pitax. Been playing 110 hours (-40 hours of load time) and i just want to go on... But i dont want to loose Linzi or maybe fail my kingdom. So im just sitting here reading page after page of problems... Not healthy.

Wish someone have a workaround with the scene with alondi after you kill Irovetty.

Thanks all for responding.

This is hypocrisy at it's purest.

I can't judge a game on the basis of what it wanted to do and not on the basis of what it is.
Ambition is no excuse for failure. Period.

I will wait for this game to be fixed. I will eventually play it. But I will never again buy a game from these devs day one. I will not recommend this game to anyone, even after it gets fixed. And I will have a hard time enjoying the game, when it is fixed, after basically being treated like a involuntary betatester.

You say it's the markets fault that this is now the common practice. You even go as far as giveing the devs that engage in this behaviour absolution on it. Basically makeing them victims of their surroundings.

But THIS is "bull", like you said.

They decide to make a game with a scope that is too big for their budget and/or ability. They decided to release it, full price. - With a metric shitton of nickle and dimeing through edition nonsense!

Just like we decided to buy it. I did, because I want to see more games like this and try to send the signal that there is a market. But this doesn't dilude my view into seeing that I enable bad practice and basically got dupped into buying a unfinished product.
That is the reality of it.

Will I still support games like this day one, when the opportunity arises. Yes.
I'll just make damn sure that it's not gonna be a game by this studio. Just like I don't buy InExile titles full price anymore, and instead give them shekles to other devs, who aim for the moon and reach it too, instead of crashing and burning like a garbage-heap.

There is no such thing as "being forced into an action by the market". You, me and them ARE the market.
They simply knew people like me are there to exploit and so they did.
No different than any tripple-A game. Because tripple-A games are just as ambitious and larger in scope. And just like this game, they fail to deliver. It's just cooler to beat up on the big bad tripple-A studios, than to be objective towards the small little indiedarling, who never wanted this. They just thought they could, but they didn't.

Compare this burning garbagepile to Divinity: Original Sin? If they don't upgrade our editions after we forked over money for a game in this state, they are truely despicable.

In conclusion.
It's either the same standards or no standards. Fuck devs who screw their customers and early adopters.

first of all I never said anything about if someone "allowed" or not to voice their opinions. I said it's not constructive.

and yes there is market. every game has deadlines when producer just says "we're out of time and resources. wrap what we have and ship it". sometimes it goes better than others depending on developer experience and many other things.

and don't tell me DoS2 released bug-free. I still vividly remember having to tornado last patch of cursed fire inside a bloody wall, invisible shriekers, broken Lohse quest. permanently wet characters and other fun stuff. Arx section was not too far from pitax in pathfinder. that's just what I can remember on the spot. there were many more. OS1 was pretty messy till EE. was too long ago to remember specifics though

Just attack them, or treatens to attack them. Then this whole thing stopps and you can continue.

I assume, they could have done it differently. I once was Kickstarter backer for "the mandate". And they took the money and ran. So, in some way, i am even grateful for a bugged game like this.

when you come in, a dialog should appear, and in this dialog you can then chose to attack (evil option).

Edit: i just reload this whole thing and tell you exactly, what it should say.

hmm.
The only thing i can advise, which helped a lot in my game, was a fresh reinstall. Something went wrong in my game because of a lot of different patches were put in and messed some things up. I can only advise this, too.

Don´t forget to take the save files out before and take them in again afterwards. And do not forget to delete the owlgame appdata file. Otherwise, you might end up with the same mistakes as before.

If it works, it is like this:

your group enters the area. You move in the direction of the stairs. Suddenly, your main character moves up to the mob. 20 seconds nothing happens. then a dialog pops up.
Then you have to deceide to which answer you chose. And before the patch, it broke down at this point, keeping you in some strange loop.
But now, it lets you out, your group arrives outside the acadmie.
