EternalSonata: Oh wow, so all the retail extras it had are present here as well? I've been eyeing the Painkiller: Gold Edition on Steam since I'm a huge nerd for Steam (I have like 120 games on there), but I've always wanted a copy of the Black Edition ever since it came out.
I'll have to get this soon. =)
cogadh: Actually, I may have spoken too quickly. I just tried opening the two .bin files, which I assumed were disk images, using a virtual CD/DVD drive and ImgBurn and both of them reported the files were invalid image formats. If they are disk images, the additional content that may have been on them from the original Black Edition is not accessible through any normal means. What were the retail extras? Perhaps they are available as part of the installation and I just didn't notice it yet.
According to Wikipedia:
"It also features mapping and editing tools, a limited edition Penny Arcade poster, a making-of movie, and behind the scenes interviews, and the latest patch which adds new features to the game and bring its quality up to competition standard (see Professional gaming below). Painkiller: Black Edition does not include the Penny Arcade poster. The technical difference is that the Gold Edition has the game over six CD's, while the Black Edition has the game on DVD."
I guess it's not a HUGE deal then. But still, images of the DVDs would be nice. Maybe a scan of the poster as a downloadable extra? (yes I like penny arcade) =)
