vladesch: I'm not sure that is true. I would imagine that hello games probably coded this game to be able to run correctly without an active internet connection, but obviously your discoveries wouldn't be sent to the cloud for others to see. ie I suspect you would still get the money and it would remember your discoveries on your own machine.
But try it out and see. I dont have it downloaded yet so I dont know.
I was also thinking of blocking incoming connections only.
UK_John: I am trying all these things - but no joy. Everything I say is because I have tried it. I do have GOG Galaxy though, so I could roll the game back to 1.77 and just miss out on the solo play Beyond changes, like sitting on chairs (your feet don't reach the floor!) or milking animals, etc.....! :)
I just tried it, both by blocking it at the firewall and also by disabling the network, and it worked fine with both methods for me.
I got money for scanning stuff, and it listed all the discoveries I have already made.
I am running NMS.exe directly. I'm not sure if that makes any difference.
