After I've collected the 4 books to the 4 different ages, and their in the book shelf in the Relto age, I try to re-enter the Teledan (not sure of exact spelling) age and it freezes on me. The screen goes black like it's trying to load, but the program isn't responding. This looks like a great game, I hope there's a solution.

It's possible your laptop has an Integrated Graphics card, but still, it has to be listed somewhere in the device manager just the same.
Have you clicked on Graphics Cards on the device manager ?

I never had a laptop with an integrated card, but i'd assume that such cards are still listed on the device manager.
You are sure you're looking at the device manager right ?
Do you now the brand and model of the laptop ?

I have a gateway, 2007/2008 (somewhere around there.
I did a search for graphics card and came up with 'Intel(R) GMA Driver for Mobile.
But yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm looking at device manager correctly. Could you give me an example of what I should be looking for?

I think you just found it.
GMA stands for Graphics Media Accelerator, which is Intel's line of integrated graphics processors, so it looks like you have integrated graphics indeed.
Like i said, i don't know much about integrated cards, but there are some posts on the web of people having that same 'Teledahn crash' problem with integrated cards, so maybe that's the problem right there.

On laptops/notebooks, i think there's no way to update the graphics card.
Have you contacted support ?
If you haven't, the first thing you should probably do is to contact them, with a description of the issue and your DxDiag, to make sure the problem really lies in your graphics card. While i'm inclined to think your graphics card might be the problem, i can't be 100% sure.
As for RealMyst, maybe you could try the demo first ?

Any luck? I just started playing and I am having the same problem. I have windows 7, Im not too sure what I need to do bc it is 7.

Still no luck. Do you have integrated graphics cards too? I've looked all over the internet and there seems to be several people with similar problems to ours, and there doesn't seem to be a solution. Have you contacted support? I did about 2-3 weeks ago and still haven't heard from them. If I ever do find a solution to the problem, I'll post it for anyone else who may have the problem... I'm not holding my breath though.

My best friend got it up and working fine for me just now. The problem for me seems to be windows7. Running the game in XP seems to have helped so far. I can now click on things with out it crashing =)
Heres what he had me do...
Right click the URU icon, go to properties, then compatablitiy and choose run as XP.
I hope this works for you as well.

No, I tried that and just about every other compatibility setting and it still doesn't work.

Hey, has anyone heard of this no-cd patch for this game? If so, any ideas where to find it?
I still don't know if that will solve my problem or not, but I figure it's worth a try.

I tried that, and for me the game still crashes (program not responding).
