Thank you for the fix for Windows
The steam integration is still broken and I'd rather not use some 3rd party plugin that hasn't been updated for a year.

You know that galaxy never had an official steam integration plugin and steam plugin was downloaded from 'affiliated' but still unofficial github (which is now dead since no one is working on it)? What people posted before is basically the only way to get steam integration.

Its a very simple fix.

Quit GOG.

Download the beta intergration; github.com/ABaumher/galaxy-integration-steam/releases/tag/Beta

Unzip it, run the bat file, as admin, to install (do not unzip the windows.zip).

That's it.. All done.. Open GOG and sign in.

gio_m95: Works great for Windows 11 as well. Both the 1.2.1 beta & the 1.0.8 work just fine. The github page also has these steps in their install instructions.

And what is their reasoning to leave a non-working feature in their official client? That's just bad practice.

This is great! It worked for me. Thanks for sharing the solution.
Been a real pain to actually get Steam connected, but this actually helped so much. Thank you so much for this

Edit: I got it working. I had another "GOG.com\Galaxy" directory under "Users\<name>\" with a "\plugins\installed" subdir. I also downloaded a different zip file this time -- "windows.zip".

Original post:
I don't know why you have a "Galaxy\plugins\installed\steam_ca..." file, but I have a "Galaxy\storage\plugins\steam_ca..." file. It's different. I tried deleting mine, and putting the unzipped third party plugin files in "Galaxy\storage\plugins\" and it did not work (after re-connecting / re-authenticating in GoG client).

I also created a "Galaxy\plugins", and "Galaxy\plugins\installed" folder, and unzipped it a second time in there, and it still did not work (after re-connecting / re-authenticating in GoG client).

Also, there is no ".bat" file in the files that are unzipped. These instructions are plainly wrong.

Unfortunately it's not working for me. It takes my account info, steam guard code but then still says "offline - retry" in the settings pane and opens a window every now and then asking for my steam64 ID
I followed the instructions on the main page and used 1.21 with installer, seems to have worked.
