After the latest update I"m getting pretty much constant crashes of this service in the event viewer. BEX errors and app crashes galore. Ive tried reinstalling GOG. But I have not yet tried uninstalling it entirely and reinstalling.

I see the same error. So far I haven't noticed any other obvious problems, but this should be fixed anyways.

I have exactly the same here, after upgrading from 2.0.55 to 2.0.57. I have filed a bug report, and attached the logs from C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\logs, but if more people report their information, the GOG people might be able to find out what the root cause is.

That is, I assume they will have tested the 2.0.57 version before it went out, but I guess there is something different about our systems from their systems. :)
Same here. Fresh windows 10 22H2 install and getting this error in Event Viewer each time the app gets launched. The app itself appears to be working fine though.
Same. I hope they hotfix this.
Confirmed, sigh.
I really can't understand how they could release a software in this condition. Where is QA?

Possible temporary workaround: uninstall new and reinstall old version from this link

Agreed. I'll wait for a hotfix. Hopefully it won't be long. My bet is a lot of people don't know it's happening. It seems to work okay except for that. I'm betting updates won't be coming until it's fixed.
Same thing happening to me. It's listed as a beta, I had that crap unchecked in the settings. Come on GOG.

Exactly the same problem here. Reinstalling GOG Galaxy doesn't help.
I hope for a fix soon

FulVal: I hope for a fix soon
I reported it and they are trying to say it was my antivirus and let these file through etc. Such crap. I tried it anyway. It's their problem.. CDPR has fallen a few notches.

Seriously? OMG... loosing hopes for a decent fix ASAP.
EDIT: won't hold my breath... just rolled back to good old 1.2.67 and re-scanned my GOG games dir. Updates and everything still working.
EDIT2: even if I disabled any "update option", today it forced-updated on launch to latest 2.x.x version!! Will try this one: https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/any_way_to_block_the_20_galaxy_update/post2
