Well that was a pleasant surprise to find today, gotta love the X series and Rebirth looks to be the prettiest yet (as it should what with being the newest)

Screens & trailer

Hopefully we'll get some out of ship action this time around but even if we don't it should be pretty damned cool
Darn, looks like I waited so long for an X3 sale that I can scratch it off my wishlist alltogether now, lol.

You can still consider getting the X: Superbox. It's a great deal for that one. I believe it costs the same as most retail games, but it comes with all the X games, and a bunch of freebies (for the retail version)

Reeeeealy? I've been thinking about buying the X series for more than a year now. I should go Google it.

Is there any point to owning any of the previous games? Pretty sure I only wishlisted TC at some point because the others were basically not needed. I don't care for scenario's/campaigns usually.
X-Superbox is a collectors edition of the X-Series, containing all 5 games, bonus content and a printed encyclopedia of the X-Universe by author Helge Kautz. Egosoft, using their forum community, gathered a range of fan-made content for inclusion in the X-Superbox.[5] Updated versions of X: Beyond the Frontier and X-Tension were made especially for the X-Superbox and were made available for testing on the Egosoft forums.[6] X3: Terran Conflict, the latest X-Series release, also receives an update with new content in the X-Superbox. The X-Superbox was officially announced on August 16, 2010 and was released on October 8, 2010.[7]"
Yeah, that's not for me. The reason I'd take 3 off my wishlist due to 4 is already because I'd prefer to be playing the latest installment. I have/had no need for anything but Terran Conflict personally, I wouldn't play the rest anymore.

To me it feels the same as the Mount & Blade bundle they're peddling. Great for collectors and supporters. Completely meaningless for anyone just looking to play the game. (apart from some mods which most get translated to Warband anyway no doubt).

Oh my god... Sleepless nights again ! \o/ I really like X3:R and X3:TC. Never got to play the first two though.
X3 TC made me feel like what my dad was feeling when he played elite on a 48k spectrum

It would be great to have co-op on this game, Forget MMO just 6 people needed in this so you can act like a squad :3

The only mod I ever contemplated making for X3 was building a genuine elite style coriolis station

Elite was awesome, loved that game.
Eh, I just hope they improve the controls. Sure, its cool to have a ship that takes as much to pilot as the real thing would, but dear god, I miss freelancer.

Don't get them if you're unwilling to do something akin to dissertation research to learn how to play.

Ouch. That steep a learning curve?

It's definitely a "have to have the manual out" game.

Any X game = Part Time Job

I hope they've improved the menus and overall interface for this one, i can't stomach another game with the same fugly tiny windows considering the intensive use one has to make of them for just about anything.
