GameRager: The free game come with the expansions?
avatar
Miaghstir: The Battle Chest has the first expansion, if I remember correctly. From the first post I would assume that the free accounts contain it as well.
I ask because I wonder if playing with expansions removed any content from old WOW.......like the expansions just added stuff right(areas/missions/etc)...not removed any quests/areas/etc?
It is an Extended Trial, not F2P.

Two primary differences:
1) Returning players have to pay. (or start a new account)
2) In a traditional F2P setup, you can pay for elements you want. So if the 'free' account is limited to 20, you can pay and get your limit raised. In an extended trial, the only way to gain access to more levels/content/etc is to begin paying the monthly fee.

keeveek: Is it avaible now to play until level 20 without 14-day time limit?
avatar
KavazovAngel: Yes, you can continue playing as much as you want. Let me know if you want me to give you a key (just wanna give them away since I have the game and they are useless to me).
what key ? is it not free for all?
I so wanna troll Wow now with this shit.....make an account called Jewnosian(after Spaceballs the movie) and go around begging for gold/money to buy a true wow account.

It did actually. And the old WoW doesn't exist anymore. Every player basically got the Cataclysm content (only thing that expansion buyers get more than those that don't have Cataclysm are raids, leveling past 80, and similar things).

Trial key, but now it works the same was as this thing, by using it it adds the game to your Battle.Net account.

So areas were removed in the new wow? that sucks.

10 gold aren't going to be really helpful. :D

Not removed, but overhauled. Improved, more interesting quest lines, better drops, more life in the zones (especially in the dead Desolace which now has green trees, rivers...).

Anything removed with expansions (like pretty much the whole world was changed - old stuff removed, new stuff added instead - in the last expansion) is really removed/changed with the accompanying patch that applies to everyone.

I'll beg for IRL monies....it'll be epic. Or I can make an afro monk and say the pool's closed to trial players. ;)

As for removed/etc I meant when I play MMos I hate when they majorly change things in areas to where they remove quests/NPCs/etc.....I feel if I join later on i'm missing out on content that might've been retconned or removed from play...etc. Sounds like all they did was add more drops/quests/etc and spruced up the scenery.

I wonder if they cleaned up the roleplay smut town?

Goldshire? I will personally murder everybody at Blizzard if they do that! :D

As I told OP it irks me about that...because the only ones to see every bit of content are those who started early and stayed in for awhile. Gah. I'm glad some run "free" private servers that run the older expansions(vanilla/Lich King/Burning/etc.) for those that want to play the different flavors of wow.

I've played since before the launch (open beta, then closed European beta, then retail since about a month after the European launch), and it still annoys me that I can't access the old content, so yes, I agree with you.
