tinyE: +1 to darthspudius, not for his opinion but for the huge brass balls it took to post that in here. XD Seriously man, my hats off to you, that took guts, dissing Deus Ex in this forum. The only thing more courageous would be to start talking shit about Diablo or Baldur's Gate. :D
What about The Witcher?

It's not as Iconic as Deus Ex.
I don't know, I think mentioning games like Deus Ex or Mass Effect as the worst of all time comes off as pretty ridiculous when games like "Custer's Revenge" exist ...

The opening post only asks for the worst game that we ever played. I can't vote for Custer's Revenge for two reasons: 1) I haven't played it and 2) I would rather play any of the four games that I mentioned earlier.

There is also Superman 64 which I have played as a Kid...

AlKim: For me, it's either Fahrenheit (/Indigo Prophecy), Deus Ex, Mass Effect 2 or Fallout: New Vegas, but I should stress that they are on the list for very different reasons: Fahrenheit for having a terrible story and no gameplay, Deus Ex for a terrible story and present but unenjoyable gameplay, Mass Effect 2 for being the greatest disappointment and New Vegas for the enormous pile of bugs that I encountered in the end of the fully patched version.

E: Typo.
I honestly liked ME2, to be hones, albeit not being an RPG, but I really disagree with your version of F:NV... I own the game both on Steam and xbox360 and yes, there are bugs, but not an extreme amount like you say, the game is fully enjoyable and playable (both me and my wife finished it once on the PC version and twice on the 360 version, full DLC)... it's my fav fallout ever, and yeah I played F1 and F2 back in the time
Worst Video Games I actually finished in all my masochism are:

School Bus Driver (1988) - Even for a educational game for kids, it sucks big time
Reservoir Dogs (2006) - Such a good movie deserved a game much better than this pile of crap

Second Sight (2005) can also be mentioned here, it got perma-uninstall after hour of two, since the pain of trying to play it was just too great to handle.

I'll be honest... I fuckin hate Baldur's Gate too! Bland scenery, boring combat and not much to do that I consider interesting. :P

darthspudius: I would happily say Deus Ex. Story is groovy but the gameplay... even back then. Boooring.
Not sure I'd agree that it's the worst, but I agree that it is highly overrated.

One of Deus Ex's biggest faults is that it is a game that tries to convince itself that it is some kind of tactical sandbox, but then only provides you with the means to pursue certain fixed solutions, with many otherwise logical approaches ending in completely illogical and bizarre dead ends.

Its gunplay mechanics suck, the AI is a joke and inventory management is a spectacular pain in the ass.

I've tried to love it, but I just lost interest as many scenarios became bizarre feats of illogical trial and error.

It was also a wonderful example of the limits of the Unreal 1 engine. Great for pure FPS, shite at everything else.

Except, despite the controversy and the subject matter, the quality of Custer's Revenge's actual gameplay is pretty much in line with much that the Atari 2600 had to offer at the time. No worse and no better.

Reprehensible? Yes. Worst? I doubt it.

Also, if you want to go down the road of poor taste, how about the infamous KZ-Manager? That video is the "Hamburg Edition", but I recall hearing that the original version for the C64 (I think?) was actually about exterminating Jews. I honestly have never had the inclination, desire or stomach to go hunting for that game to find out for myself.

Ah, okay, I missed that part.

Still, I'd say if those games are the worst you ever played, then your gaming "career" was rather blessed ... ;)

Well, good for you. Unfortunately, being aware that other people haven't experienced the same bullshit as I doesn't change the fact that it took me two weeks - I wish I was fucking kidding - to plow through the final thirty minutes of New Vegas because the game crashed, bugged, failed to load, failed to save, thought that my dog was the President of the NCR and just generally proceeded to shit itself every single time I had calmed down enough to give it another go again. If it had happened to you, I bet you wouldn't think very highly of New Vegas either.

I'll vouch for you there. My pc would not run that last part of the game aswell. I have up and forgot about it.

Sorry to hear that :(
Yeah it sucks when that happens, I agree with ya... it's just like Paradox games at the very moment they come out, if you know them :D
