Als kleiner "Schlag den Raab" Fan würde mich mal interessieren ob`s hier noch andere Fans hier gibt und ob ihr an Sieg oder Niederlage von ihm glaubt.
Also, erschlagt mich mit eurer Meinung!
I guess you wanted to post this in "Discussions Générales"?! ;P

No, honestly, I don't think it's a good idea to start topics in German here... Wait for "Generelle Diskussionen", or whatever creepy translation GOG comes up with. But don't start German threads in an English speaking forum. Just imagine everyone would start to post in his native language... It would be a mess.
I think the next language translation on GOG should be German, but I hope it will be more popular than the French "Discussion Générale" :/ Deutschland über alles... on GOG ?
Of all possible topics for a German thread, it has to be a completely off-topic, useless, mindless question about an obnoxious third-class host in German trash TV shows which no one with any brain cells left would be able to endure ...

Yuck.
The reason I started this thread in german is because it´s a very german thing, or do french and english people know Stefan Raab and his "Schlag den Raab" TV-Show?

I hope it is, I want to learn German but I lack the environment, TV and magazines, that made English easy to learn.

I hope it won't! I like the idea that people who can't speak English at all have a place where they can ask something in their native language, but I don't like the idea of those localized forums splitting the community into lots of smaller communities.
The true problem is that these localized forums are maybe less interesting in their contents than the main forum or too focus on local discussions. GOG should support them with specific subjects.

You shouldn't have watched his stupid shows, apparently it has affected your brain already.

Presently, this is an English-speaking forum. All Germans who participate here, are able to express themselves in English. Germans who can't express themselves in English, are not reading this forum (because they don't understand the language), and therefore would not even see the lonely German thread that you started. So what's the use in starting this thread in German? Zilch.

It doesn't matter much though, because this thread is about a third-class German trash TV personality, basically a churl whose idea of "fun" is still stuck at the level of a 12-year-old. It is completely irrelevant regardless of which language it's in. I actually hope that the non-Germans in this forum don't know who you're talking about, because it would just be sad if this guy were more than a local ... accident. Though I suppose there are similar personalities in other nations' trash TV environments as well.

Well... Let's tell them!

Just in case anyone is wondering what "Wadde hadde dudde da?" means: The English translation would be something like "What-de have-de you-de there?", or something like that...

I mostly clicked in here to find out what a "raab" is and I'm not leaving disappointed.

Fortunately/unfortunately, here in America we're largely ignorant of any TV/Film coming from Germany that isn't Das Boot, Run Lola Run or that one that was popular a couple years ago. Mostly because German media is something that you have to have imported in most cases and you can't play it on your normal DVD player due to region restrictions.
This is why GOG needs a German forum too.

Buy Sam & Max Hit the Road, install the German version and learn the words by heart. Whether you actually understand them, won't really matter in the long run, people will still love you for reciting them. Es ist ein herrliches Bratz-das-Vieh-Spiel, after all! ;)

Well, I guess you could do it with any other game, too, especially the Daedalic adventures, but it wouldn't be quite the same. :D

And just replace TV with YouTube and magazines with blogs, problem solved!

I think the problem is the same as with the game specific forums; they are less active because they have a smaller clientele and - because they are less active. And it's so much more comfortable to scan one forum for active and interesting threads than to click through several.

Wow, ne Menge Antworten, aber alle off-topic! Keiner hier der "Schlag den Raab" guckt? Traurig!!!

Wow a lotta answers but all of them are off topic! Nobody here who watches "Beat the Raab"? Sad!
Sorry, I've mostly given up on television altogether. :(
