Telltale are making some great stories that I'm enjoying a whole lot.

CD Projekt RED of course, love the witcher series and am excited for 3, also looking forward to checking out cyberpunk.
Double Fine
Some I liked before I don't like so much now. I'm looking at you Square Enix. But Nemesys and CDP:RED are consistently awesome.
Deck13 of course. Jack is love. Jack is life.

(Just kidding)
My favourite developers are Nintendo, Naughty Dog, Retro Studios, Valve, Obsidian, Bungie and Starbreeze.

For pubishers i'd have to say Ubisoft and Microsoft, because these are the only ones that bother to release their games here fully translated with voice-overs and lower prices.

What do you mean by "here"? Microsoft isn't on GOG.
My favorite devs on console are Atlus. I have yet to play an Atlus game I didn't enjoy (including even Rule of Rose and its shitty gameplay). Now that they're with Sega, I'm hoping the inevitable spin-offs (like the Persona rhythm game) won't influence the quality of their main games.

As for PC, I must say Ice-Pick Lodge. It's like they're on a mission to make the most unusual games possible, and I love them for it. Granted, I didn't much enjoy Pathologic, but Knock Knock is pretty fun, and The Void is simply amazing.

Sorry about that. By "here" i mean in my country.
Obsidian: Knights of the Old Republic II was the first non-classic Star Wars game. It had a lot of elements that we never had seen before in a Star Wars game. Alpha Protocol had some really interesting mechanics. Project Eternity also sounds interesting.
Red Projekt Red: Freedom!!!
Paradox: They make interesting games, but I have been unable to try out any of them because of Steam. But also, they don't make my kind of games really...
inXile:

I used to respect
Microsoft: I think I haven't really liked Microsoft since the golden days with Age of Empires, the first Halos, the Madness (midtown, motocross, monster) series and so on. But now they're kicking out games at random, and Age of Empires II HD was a major disappointment with all of its bugs and issues. The original game plays better for me...
BioWare: Well, Dragon Age II was beyond horrible. People say Mass Effect also took a hit, but they're not the company they once were.
Blizzard: They have been sliding down ever since Wrath of the Lich King... Cataclysm was a cool idea but it wasn't really a good game. Starcraft II was boring and didn't really turn me into a fan like Warcraft III did for the Warcraft series. Mist of Pandaria was just meh, Warlords of Draneor is one of the stupidest thing I've ever heard: time travel, with no time travel. Diablo III with all of its online... restrictions. And more recently they've released nonsense like that card game.
Ubisoft They developed a couple of games that I thought were cool ideas like Heroes of Might and Magic, Tom Clancy's and Assassin's Creed... but then they turned out like fifty sequels for all of their series and made this list.
Creative Assembly: Let's face it, every developer has released a bad game and whatever but there is absolutely no excuse for Rome II. Empire Total War was CA's misstep, but Rome II was just broken, bad and busted - even to this date.

Nothing to be sorry about :)
No one these days, but I like CDPR for past works. I guess FWH is cool for Shadow Warrior, but I haven't played the game yet.
CD Projekt Red - AAA titles DRM free. Regardless of whether I like the games, it's a mentality I want to see more of!
CDPR and Triumph Studios.
Can't think of any other for the moment.
sid meier - all days ever ;-)
A number of my old favorite developers aren't in business or making new titles in genres I play right now (like Insomniac). Another formerly preferred developer is so much NOT a personal favorite anymore that it bleeds backward into my not caring what they are making Kinda sad, in a way, but also the simple truth.

Nintendo and Square/Enix still regularly inspire me. I always enjoy Her Interactive's Nancy Drew games, so that's another one. I have hopes that TellTale will create more funny adventures someday, as I'm not into the horror genre. Hoping some of the Kickstarter projects prove worthwhile too.

As for small developers, I plan to keep a weather eye out for any adventures from Jonathan Boakes of Darkfall & Lost Crown fame. (His stuff is suspenseful, not gory. I can live with that.)

That's what comes to mind right now, though I'm probably forgetting a lot of small teams I like.
