I am sooooo glad I found this site but I was wondering where in the world do you guys have the extremely good game from Lucasarts called Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe? This was a flight sim game before all the modern ones came into being. This was one of the best flight Sim/war games ever!
Can you guys talk with Lucasarts to bring back this truly great classic in Flight Sims. I am not a flight Sim person at all but this has to be one of my all-time favorite games in existence.
I haven't played it in over 12 years =(
Please help me bring back the memories of my childhood =)
We don't have any games from Lucasarts because, well, they haven't signed up with GOG yet.
The only thing you can do is wish for it. But it's worth pointing out that Lucasarts is already a popular candidate.
LucasArts = bad sign, I don't think there's a big chance we'll see that game soon. Still, I'd suggest you go vote for it to wishlist (burried around the site... somewhere) and... Well, welcome to community :-)
There was mention of another huge publisher announcement sometime soon (was it in March?) so since Lucasarts & EA are the only likely candidates, there's a 50/50 chance we might get some secret weaponny goodness. I rather hope so myself since I never got the chance to play it
That said, it'd better be TIE Fighter!!!

I wouldn't be so sure that it will be EA or LA. We know that Witcher 2 will have it's publisher announced in March, and "GOG big announcement 2" is also scheduled for March. Coincidence? (And guys at CD Projekt said that they don't want EA as a publisher).

You're reading too much into it. The Witcher had Atari as a publisher yet there's no hint of them turning up here. GOG would never rule out having EA as a publisher. They have more wished for titles than any other publisher. Who CDP wants as a publisher for Witcher 2 is irrelevant.
What GOG said about the March publisher is that they're prominent in the wishlist. Which only leaves EA and Lucasarts.

I am not saying it won't be EA or LA - I am just saying it is not necessarily the case. There are nearly 6000 "entries" on the wishlist (yes, I know many of them are completely useless). Top of the wishlist doesn't have to mean top 10 - it can mean top 20, top 30 or even top 100. Even if look at the top 20 - it brings Eidos and Atari into play.
I'm just pointing out, that these announcements are very close to each other, and it may be a case of killing two birds with one stone.
It is possible that CDP would have EA as a publisher, but they stated that they would prefer a smaller player:

"The company is in talks with publishers, although they did not specify how advanced the talks are. The publisher will most likely be announced in Q1 2010. They do not want a big publisher like EA, but someone they cooperate with as partners. They want the game to be published in identical form in all countries, with rich bonus content, like the Enhanced Edition of the first Witcher."

Well, not really Atari as most of their sought after games are D&D. Due to the legal battle between them and WotC over Atari's use of the license, I don't think that we'll be seeing those... ever. Even GOG ruled that possibility out completely. Eidos are a possibility. But given that they're run by Squee, I don't know what the odds are.
The GOG "announcement" of the upcoming publisher did say it would be one of the publishers of at least one of the top 10 titles on the wishlist, that means it can only be EA or LucasArts, since all the other publishers in the top ten are either already here or the title in question is held up in legalities.

The publisher of Planescape and Baldur's Gate 2 could get on GOG, even if those and other D&D games don't, so I wouldn't disregard Atari completely.

Can I see that quote please? I'm asking because I can't find it, and the only thing that I can find mentions "top of most-wanted list" and that, as I said before, can be a broad term.

"The next big thing for us will happen at the end of March. We are finalizing another major deal that will boost GOG's catalogue with some of the most-awaited games from the top of our most-wanted list. We will gladly tell you more about it in March :) "

I realise that chances for Atari are slim. But Eidos is still Eidos, despite being owned by SE. At first SE planned to drop the Eidos name and merge it completely with Square-Enix Europe, then they said it was only temporary, and now it's Eidos - a part of Square-Enix Europe (for now at least). And they still have much freedom - just remember Crimson Echoes and then look at this thread: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=100371
Besides, I am Legacy of Kain fanatic, and that means that these games need to be here ;).
