That is what I was thinking...play something just for fun and not for story so I could fully concentrate on sheer awesomness of skyrim

Thanks for tips...but honestly I have no idea what I will play yet :) guess I will go to sleep soon and let all of these tips be decided by random.org (awesome site btw)

Fuzzyfireball: DOOM. You could finish both DOOM and DOOM II in a day, Final DOOM another day, and DOOM 3 a day or two.

:)

That is assuming you take rare brakes.
Ooooh, I only finished one episode of original DOOM so I could try this.

wpegg: OK, serious post on this one then. DON'T! We all know bethesda use their initial sales as beta testers. The game won't 'really' be released until about christmas, when it will be in the steam sale. There's no reason to get a game that should be a keeper and replayer, only to be soured by the first experience. Let the mugs take the pain.
Yeah...I guess I could wait until christmas but there is one problem...I am HIGHLY impatient person...I just cant wait for anything :) I will be proud member of betatesters then...

Exactly what I'm doing. While I'm excited to play it, it's a single player game that's going to have a TON of DLC. I'll just wait for the GOTY edition sale on steam and jump in then. :)

Dude, you have Bloodlines in your backlog. If that's still there when you buy Skyrim, I will track you down and punch you in the balls. You'll know me because I'll just say "This is for Jack".
Wait for Skyrim GOTY, bugs will mostly be gone and you will have some decent DLC, so the following list may help your decision.

Witcher 2
Two worlds

Planescape torment

Broken Sword

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Far Cry 2

Morrowind

Amnesia (for obvious reasons...)

Outcast

Fallout series

Darksiders

Baldurs Gate

Psychonauts
Ultima Underworld

Beyond good and evil

S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Alpha Protocol

Borderlands

Half Life 1 + expansions

Saints Row 2

Titan Quest
Call of Cthulhu
Neverwinter Nights 2 : Platinum

Neverwinter Nights
Gothic 1,2
Beyond Divinity
Divine Divinity

Well, Hunted: The Demon's Forge, Overlord II, and Darksiders are all incredibly short and not particularly hard. You should be able to get through any number of them as you need before Skyrim.

Out of the above Darksiders is probably the best, but all of them are fun, if not terribly deep.

Knee Deep in the Dead I assume? Either way, that's 1/4, finish it up! :) DOOM takes maybe an hour, DOOM II two to three hours.

I think Darksiders is one of the most underated games in the last couple of years, its like a mix of Zelda and Soul Reaver. Cant wait for the sequel, it had a great ending :)
Beyond Good and Evil can be finished in 5 days I think. It's not an RPG but it is a good game imho.
Five days to go don't start a long and story-based game like rpg or adventure. Get zDoom and load all wad files from your id games (Heretic, Doom, Hexen) in it. You can stop playing and get back later very easily. If you need another type of game go with Settlers 2. It's a nice slow-paced time waster, also easy to stop and good to get back later.

Play one of them and if you don't like it, play another one.

No offence, Detlik, but you must be the least decisive person I know.

Here's what you should do:
1) create a Backloggery account if you haven't already
2) fill it up with data
3) ask Backloggery for a fortune cookie and open it
4) install the game that was named in the cookie, uninstall everything else you might have installed at that point
5) play the game and enjoy

Because you clearly can't bring yourself to make the choice, and people on a forum will never agree on a single title, so with questions like this you'll always end up exactly where you started. The fortune cookie was invented for people just like you.
