Someone's just begging for a lawsuit because, surely, that woman doesn't look ANYTHING like Angelina Jolie...

Yeah, the Island Visitors Kickstarter page is just too funny. They also stole some of the reward tier descriptions from Double Fine and Wasteland 2 - even the ones that don't make sense like the "HD download of the documentary series."

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter increased the rewards for 30$ and up:
Also we have spent some time thinking about and asking fans what we could put into the $30 tier to make it more interesting and to not disrupt what has already been offered. I think we have come up with an interesting list that may persuade a few people to upgrade. Based on your top requests and a forum poll we now offer the following as part of the $30 tier:

■An extra digital download of the game in any format. Many people wanted to be able to get a Mac AND a PC version, or PC and Linux, or even an extra PC version for a friend. Now you can.
■Access to a collection of exclusive Ranger portraits that will double the pool of character portraits you have to choose from at the start of the game when you are rolling up your Rangers. This unique image collection will not only give you more Ranger portraits, but more Ranger icons used to display your party location on the world map.
■Access to a four-episode Video Development Blog that will show you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the design and development of Wasteland 2. Sit in on designer meetings and art-review meetings to see the process behind how the game is made. See interviews with Brian Fargo, Chris Avellone, Mike Stackpole, Alan Pavlish, and the rest of the development team as they explain to you what they are doing and why they are doing it.
■A novella by Chris Avellone based on the universe of Wasteland.
Of course, all backers who are in at higher levels will also get all of these added items too.
It's mightly tempting to up my 15$ pledge to 30$. Next tier is also interesting but 65$ is 50€...

I upped mine to $30 because of that. I really hope that we can get to the $3m mark so that we get the mod tools. I won't be using them myself, but I would love to play some good mods.

I wonder how much they've managed to get through the paypal option. Hopefully it's enough to hit that mark.

Only $81,471 thru paypal $2,635,836 thru kickstarter

That makes total pledges now $2,717,307 with 31 hours to go.

I also upped my pledge. Still considering going one higher but that's 35$ more than I've pledged now.

Not exactly kickstarter, it's an indiegogo project called Bearstronauts, a 2d side scroller about bear astronauts. Make of it what you will...

This is one of four indie projects I've fallen in love with (the others are Kenshi, Wasteland 2 and Dead State). When I look at the gameplay videos it remind me a lot of Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath, which are two of my favourite games. These sort of games are perfect for co-op gaming.

I really hope it will succeed at making at least a couple of million.
Grim Dawn looks very good. I've heard of it before too so it probably won't have any trouble getting the funding.

With all these great games popping up, I hope there will be enough money to go around. Leisure suit harry and Pinkerton road seems to be well on their way to funding.....but then other great looking games like Nekro and Starlight Inception are moving so slowly.

I absolutely love kickstarter, it offers such a great transparency between the developers and the public.

I was thinking it would be cool if there was some way to browse kickstarters that aren't yet live. I suppose it would kind of defeat the point...but it would be cool to have to scoop before anyone else....and plus to see if any good games get rejected.

Left to Rot. I still don't get why they have the KS page titled as "FPS and RPG GENRE!" when the guy in the video clearly states RTS. Whole lotta difference between RTS and RPG...

Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox will soon come to Kickstarter. It looks interesting, though still quite raw...
