JudasIscariot: Is that "Wow" in a good way or bad way?
'The money will be used to attend E3'

No.

Anyway, I'm adding these two projects. I love their concepts.

pyrowolf: Thank you for the mention, and the compliment!

It's very new and I'm still working on it daily to add improvements and tweaks. I'd love any feedback anyone has on things they'd like to see...
First of all, a big thank *you* for creating that site - it's darn useful (though in part due to KS' own failings). Second, my apologies for not keeping up with this thread - spending too much time refreshing the Wasteland 2 page. :)

One thing I would suggest for projections is providing a range rather than a single figure. So start with your original figure, subtract 2 standard deviations (of the daily/hourly funding figure) to get a low-end estimate and add 2 standard deviations for the high end. If the funding is highly variable, this will result in a big range, narrowing as you get closer to the project end. If the funding was based on a "normal" distribution (yea, big assumption I know), the +/- 2 standard deviation range has a ~90% of encompassing the final result.

ithilien827: Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox will soon come to Kickstarter. It looks interesting, though still quite raw... [/url]/
Interestingly, they did try to raise funding on IndieGogo and failed. It does look interesting enough to be worth a second shot on KS though - I was tempted but couldn't overcome the inertia of having to register on yet-another-website. *slobs back on sofa*

A word of caution for anyone pledging (or considering) Vigrior - the developers seem to have an overriding fear of their assets being "stolen" (opinion expressed in private message) and therefore aren't offering a DRM-free release. It's difficult to judge what they intend from their comments, but the only way they could lock things down to the extent they seem to desire would be to do a Ubisoft (i.e. constant connection needed) and have game content streamed from a central server.

Now for some new projects!

The New Forest Arimaa Set (boardgame)
Lesbian Cops: The Movie - Season 2 (probably not worth listing but just for laughs!)
Colossal Cave: The Board Game (for those nostalgic about the very first computer Adventure game)
The Lost Game (Thought Jane Jensen or Tim Schafer were too 'leet? Well here's a first-timer asking for backing!)
Symphonic / Big Band Live-Concert / CD / DVD recordings (possibly a biggie for jazz fans)

Finally Nightfall Light has been cancelled so that can come off the list.
Holy shit there is a Turrican Soundtrack Kickstarter by Chris Hülsbeck:

I was tempted myself, but it was too much hassle to register and pay. I think they'll do much better on Kickstarter anyway (I will pledge myself, although probably at a lower tier).

Thanks for the links brah. I lol'd at the Lesbian Cops one. The Lost Game's KS page is so wordy I nearly lost my way around in there. :P

I want to add the Arimaa project, but I'm not impressed. I've seen carvings of equally good, if not better, quality, going for less. You have to actually pay $200 for the game itself; +$25 more for the horsey (after Dog), and +25 more for the camel. Why.

Turrican's remastered ST is a bit expensive, but what the hell. It's bloody Turrican!

They deserve marks for chutzpah, if nothing else. "With your help this will be the MOST AMAZING ADVENTURE GAME EVER!" - I guess their funding plan is to supply loads of chocolate laxatives to Double Fine. :)

Yea, it's not cheap (over 6 times the price of its plastic equivalent) but then neither was Ramos. And for those interested in Arimaa it looks to be the only "collectable" set for now. They have some nerve asking $1,000 for a failed prototype though.

Just found another game (sort of) - The Virtual Trillium Trail v.2.0

I don't think it's going to be that serious on the Ubisoft level, but this is very much a stupid move. They're a small team, creating a very niche title, and they don't want to release a DRM-free game, when every other major KS developer is doing this?

Some more projects for the first-post-mill!

Erythia: Shattered Dreams (an RPG/JRPG for PC and Mac)
Wingz SmartKeyboard - Laptop and Smartphone Combined (gold-plated version available!)
not sure if this has been posted already:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/597507018/pebble-e-paper-watch-for-iphone-and-android?ref=live

yowzer! over $3 million raised with heaps of time to go...
Well, I just found my new favourite topic. Thanks, gentlefolk.
DOME - The story of a Simple Robot on an Epic Journey to get back home
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightytreehouse/dome

Pitch video is engaging. Video Update #1 shows some nice stuff about the making of the robot.

Love the robot - it's like WALL-E (sort of) with the head of Manny Calavera (sort of).

If they pull off what they plan to, it's going to be a very entertaining season.
Added Dome. Very interesting indeed.

I wanted to add Pebble earlier, but forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me.

Yup. Turrican. Longtime since heard that name. Shame only available as mp3. Putting request to see if it can be made available as .flac files....
I set a kickstarter account up just to make Leisure Suit Larry come again.

I think there's a typo in your post...

Also, Wasteland 2 is getting dangerously close to the $3m mark, only about $9k left to go.
