pyrowolf: Thank you for the mention, and the compliment!
It's very new and I'm still working on it daily to add improvements and tweaks. I'd love any feedback anyone has on things they'd like to see...
First of all, a big thank *you* for creating that site - it's darn useful (though in part due to KS' own failings). Second, my apologies for not keeping up with this thread - spending too much time refreshing the Wasteland 2 page. :)
One thing I would suggest for projections is providing a range rather than a single figure. So start with your original figure, subtract 2 standard deviations (of the daily/hourly funding figure) to get a low-end estimate and add 2 standard deviations for the high end. If the funding is highly variable, this will result in a big range, narrowing as you get closer to the project end. If the funding was based on a "normal" distribution (yea, big assumption I know), the +/- 2 standard deviation range has a ~90% of encompassing the final result.
ithilien827: Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox will soon come to Kickstarter. It looks interesting, though still quite raw... [/url]/
Interestingly, they did try to raise funding on
IndieGogo and failed. It does look interesting enough to be worth a second shot on KS though - I was tempted but couldn't overcome the inertia of having to register on yet-another-website.
*slobs back on sofa* A word of caution for anyone pledging (or considering) Vigrior - the developers seem to have an overriding fear of their assets being "stolen" (opinion expressed in private message) and therefore aren't offering a DRM-free release. It's difficult to judge what they intend from
their comments, but the only way they could lock things down to the extent they seem to desire would be to do a Ubisoft (i.e. constant connection needed) and have game content streamed from a central server.
Now for some new projects!
The New Forest Arimaa Set (boardgame)
Lesbian Cops: The Movie - Season 2 (probably not worth listing but just for laughs!)
Colossal Cave: The Board Game (for those nostalgic about the very first computer Adventure game)
The Lost Game (Thought Jane Jensen or Tim Schafer were too 'leet? Well here's a first-timer asking for backing!)
Symphonic / Big Band Live-Concert / CD / DVD recordings (possibly a biggie for jazz fans)
Finally
Nightfall Light has been cancelled so that can come off the list.
