mystral: As I said, the last time I refused to let girls play with me based only on the fact they were girls was when I was 9 and was still in the "girls have cooties" stage.
Vestin: Huh, that's about the same age I've decided I want to have nothing to do with guys ;P.
mystral: Again, I wasn't saying that anonymity was the only reason this happens.
Vestin: I know, I know... These were mostly general remarks. I wasn't necessarily claiming you were wrong or assuming you thought something you didn't, I merely wanted to clarify something, as it occurred to me.
I understand, no offense taken or anything.
I just find this kind of thing really disappointing, because if there's one place where we should be free of discrimination, it should be the Internet. After all, between people who'll never meet in real life, sex, race, social standing or appearance should be completely irrelevant.
Personally, when I play or chat with someone online, only its skill and opinions matter, not any of the superficial stuff that we can't help but notice in real life.
The fact that large parts of the Internet seem instead to be a hotbed of intolerance makes me kind of sad, I'll admit.
But I'm getting really off-topic and I should leave the thread for announcements of new KS projects.
