lowyhong: Sorry guys I promise I will update OP soon!!!
See? That's why DRM is useful. If you couldn't play VtM:B, you would have updated the post earlier. Doesn't that make sense? :P

Silence, heathen! Thou dare spread such bleasphemy on the GOG forums? Truly, thou art a philistine.

hedwards: $48k for a rogue-like is a huge amount of money, especially considering that they're not starting a new project.
And open sourcing the game is only a stretch goal at this point. If the game had been open source when it was released it there is a decent chance it wouldn't be in need of "resurrection".

Frankly this seems like spending $48k to bail water and $0 to actually plug the leaking hole. The hole could have been plugged in an hour. The hole should have been plugged years ago. Instead the developer wants $48k to bail water and STILL is making no commitment to plug the hole.

Petrell: Resurrect ADOM development launched at IndieGoGo. 48000$ goal is pretty hefty and it uses Kickstarter like Fixed Funding model (Project receives funding only if goal is reached.). Project has already acumulated around 15% of it's funding on first day with 59 days to go.

Note that pledges are more like donations as new version of ADOM will still be free for everyone on release.

Sooo who wants hard bound printed version (around 10 big tomes) of ADOM source for 50 000$? :-p

48K is a tad high for donating to what will essentially be a free release for all....

PaulDenton: Something entirely different this time :)

Music: http://www.indiegogo.com/dftd2012

I discovered this band when browsing bandcamp a few months ago and think they're awesome. You can check their music out on bandcamp: http://danceforthedying.bandcamp.com/

So I really hope their fundraiser takes off. Note that it is Flexible Funding campaign meaning they will receive all money pledged regardless whether they make their goal.
(Yes they can have my money regardless... :D)

Cheers
I actually quite like the music on the link you posted up. Might actually buy that album and also check into the indiegogo project :).thanks
Since our kind host hasn't updated the front page, I'm not sure if this was posted before:
The Silver Cord -- A Techno-Epic Graphic Novel

This is for book #2.
Book #1 is available for free in pdf and cbz format on their website.
Go check it out, well worth it, imho.

And if you can, back it - they're struggling to make the $40K goal with only 12 days to go.

He's being cleverer than that - by holding off on updates, more of the previous suggestions will have expired, reducing the workload! To confound this tactic, here are a few more to consider:

PC Games:
The Realm of Thyïlia - A revival of classical Role-Playing (Aug 6)

RPGs:
Republishing, Synnibarr: The original Scifi-Fantasy RPG (Aug 1)

Board Games:
Dragonmage Warfare™ (Aug 1)
Bootleggers -Prohibition Era Board Game (sorry no Zombies!) (Aug 3)
The Great Fire of London (Aug 18) *US/Canada backers only!*

Also a quick heads-up - Hoplomachus finishes in a few days (Jul 10). It's funded so it's now about stretch goals which have changed (2 higher-level ones are now included with the game). Anyone fancying a close encounter with a (cardboard counter) lion should find this better value than any safari!

Isn't that the game with giant flying fire-breathing clams?

knows more than I do about it - on the other hand given the rancid reviews its received (courtesy of [url=http://www.rpg.net/news+reviews/reviews/rev_4762.html]RPG.Net and SomethingAwful) it may be better to drop it from the list. Sorry for not checking it more thoroughly - I saw Richard Garfield's name and my eyes glazed over...

As recompense, here's something justifiably awful!
The Horror In Clay Cthulhu tiki mug production run (Jul 12)

Yeah I saw Richard Garfield, then Synnibarr, and I was like "now why haven't I heard of Synnibarr before?"

I'm really pissed that Retrovirus didn't make it though. I lost another ounce of faith in humanity today - not even half the amount was raised. This is why we don't get nice things like Descent 4 or Terminal Velocity 2 anymore.
Sam Suede was canceled about a week ago.
Removed. Thanks.
I just noticed this one called Moon Intern:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/larrypixel/moon-intern?ref=category

It sounds quite curious....I like the sound of the game having dynamic events. The focus on days and having a sort of day report reminds me a little of Pikmin too. (even though this game is nothing like Pikmin otherwise)

Aside from this and Jack Houston and the Necronauts there hasn't been many video games launched on kickstarter that caught my eye in any way. Most of the interesting ones have finished now or are just about to finish.

Looks like Hexit is going to go the same way - can't win 'em all.

On the other hand Dressed to Win has still only received 1 pledge. Could it really be that a game offering the chance to "pay for parking, speeding tickets, or may get stuck a in traffic jam" for such a popular platform as the Nook fails to reach its (probably realistic at $160,000) target?
