Faithful: OK, I have never played any of these games and am considering some due tot he sale.
I have a few questions.
1. Is each game a stand alone story unrelated to the other games in the series?
2. The first 2 look really dated, are they worth considering? I do not mean solely to own them all.
3. Which would be the best if I was only going to buy 1 or 2 of them?
4. Which do you think is the best in the series and why?
Thank you
1. Yes, you can just play any of them and not the others, but it's better if you start with UAKM, then TPD and then Overseer.
2. After you play (and love) the other games, you'll may want to play the first games out of curiosity. They are not bad, but they are not especially user-friendly and you have to be used to old adventure games.
3. Tough call. The last three games are quite similar.
4. I think the best is The Pandora Directive. Other people prefer the rougher UAKM, but I suspect that in many cases it's just because they played it first. TPD is long, with lots of great story and puzzles, and it's just an amazing game. Overseer was even better in some respects, but the story was cut short.
