...report obviously false items in the wish list. They don't help anyone and only make things harder for GOG.
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." - Albert Einstein
So IMO let it be, stupid people will post stupid things again. GoG guys (and gals) are intelligent enough to know what is BS and what isn't
Probably a good idea unless implementing the feature would be more costly time wise than looking at the list and saying "morons making crap up" and moving on
Fake entries will never get many votes; only the most obscure games will be beneath them. I'd say this problem is self-correcting.

See, you've just inadvertantly pointed out another reason why it is a problem. With so many obviously stupid/false entires, the obscure games, which could very well turn out to be very good gems for GOG will be lost. People will just dismiss them as false entires and not vote for them.
I mean when you can get an entry such as:
"Really Cool Explosive Game With Sex And Drugs And Aliens And Is A Really Awesome Game That You Must Buy "
You know there's a problem. And thanks to michaelleung for making the problem so obvious >_>.
And seriously, Zeno Clash? It's not even ****ing released yet. How does that have any place on GOG!? Perhaps if we could vote entires down (and after X number of votes, it's placed in a queue for GOG staffers to look over/out right report them to a similar queue, the GOG staffers can look at them, and remove 20 to 30 rep from anyone found to have submitted such an entry.
Sure a lot of people won't care about the rep, but there will be some that do and thus it should work as a deterrent for them.
It would also help if we could report duplicates as then they could have their votes merged.

I do what I can to shine the light on Wishlist problems. You're welcome.
michaelleung and bansama - you're both hilarious.
1. what's the point of whining about ppl not using search function / adding duplicates on the wishlist while you're doing exactly the same on the forums right now? i recall more than a few topics regarding this issue - why couldn't you use post in any of the existing ones? weren't they good enough?
2. creating more fake entries on the wishlist isn't going to solve any problem. what insane logic is behind this? if you want to help maybe create a list of duplicates / fakes rather than adding more crap.
3. please name your topics so it's obvious what are they about. " We really need a way to...". I don't see any difference between creating such nonsense topic names and creating fakes on the wishlist.
seriously, if you want others to follow some rules, start by giving an example...

Well, bansama's submitted game, Sheep is a real game. I didn't mean to set an example.

1 - I searched for a similar topic, none were highlighted. Thus if there were one, it never showed up in the search results. Hardly my problem.
2 - I have only ever added one game to the wish list, Sheep which I did today. You can find out about it here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/home/914279.html
3 - The topic name is simply because I didn't want the title chopped off at the wrong point, again, not my fault but a limitation of the system.
But by all means, why not actually provide a link to the other topics before getting all offended?
Not only are there already numerous topics on this, but I also included a statement on the "new game issue" in the FAQ. Besides, if you want GOG to add something to the website, you really should post it in the GOG.com Features Wishlist thread stickied at the top of the forum.

It doesn't help though when people post stuff that doesn't belong there. Example, I'm a fan of point and click adventures and would like to see the two old EA Holmes games out. They're damned difficult to get, and forget getting them to work on Vista easily if you do.
However, the inferior Frogwares titles like Silver Earring and Mystery of the Mummy up to the very recent Sherlock Holmes:Nemesis have all been nominated and all are easily available in high street games stores.
Also, I see entries for World in Conflict (recent) and Freelancer 2 (doesn't even exist)

Can you not say high streets? It can cause unintended connotations that it's really damned expensive and it's for snotty tea-drinking Britishians.

Eh *blush* Don't look at me!

Surely "high street" is just the correct term (for us snotty tea-drinking Britishians!), "high streets" would just be wrong.
There's Zeno Clash in the wishlist? Awesome, when it gets old, it might have just enough voices to be of interest for GoG! Gonna vote for it right now! :D
There has been numerous discussions on this topic and, frankly, though wishlist IS broken, I don't see a reason new (or non-existing) titles couldn't be there. New games WILL get old eventually and not enough people will vote for complete nonsence anyway, so that's not really of any concern...
... ... Gonna vote for Pinkiller
