So - I have been collecting all these great Blue Ray Dics that come with the digital copies and what do you know they are not supported by my nifty little PSP. Anyone out there care to recommend their favorite conversion software?
Dammit. You made me think the spammers had come back >_<.
virtualdub, best video compression software about and can compress to most any format and size as long as you have the codecs

Thanks for the help but this app is throwing nothing but errors everytime I try to convert from wmv to anything. Any clue as to how to make it work.

I've rarely had trouble. Must be something specific to your files.

These are DRM protected digital copies of Blue Ray Movies I own. Only thing is the PSP does not support .wmv so I am basically out of luck unless I can find an app to convert them.

If I understand, your digital copy is .wmv . . . not .vob? I have not had an opportunity to look at a bluray/dvd disk but . . . I thought they contained a bluray copy and a standard DVD copy in the .vob format.

They also contain a "digital copy" for PC and Portables that are in .wmv which is totally useless but able to be DRM Protected.

No - These usually come in a three disc pack - 1. Blue Ray, 2. Regular DVD, and 3. Digital Copy.

First I should say it is against the law to break the DRM . . . BUT . . . it is legal to make a backup copy . . . not sure how they reconcile that so . .
Couple of ways you can go. . .
Get DVDFab and rip / convert it directly to the desired format you require.
Or
Get ConvertXtoDVD and convert the .wmv to a DVD and than use DVDFab to convert to the format required.
I had to learn how to make backup copies of my movies because my Oppo upconverter will not upconvert a purchased movie . . . duh? It will upconvert a copy . . . duh again? They build them that way on purpose, I guess to make you buy a Bluray???
Anyway, use it only to make legal backups of movies you own and you should be fine.
Edit: Both programs give you a trial, think its 30 days.

Funny thing is - If I wanted to - I could download these movies for free and be done with it.
