American Revolution is overdone? I must've been reading the wrong zines. I'm more concerned about the architecture.

(Actually, I don't think the prequels were that bad, myself, but that would be a topic for another thread.)
Still, those two games, nowadays ever so "popular" Bioware were better than those newer films put together. That Han Solo rip-off was too gay though.
All hail Darth Revan.

Ubisoft could have went with anything
French revolution
Victorian England
Russia
Hell, anything, but no - we get one of the worst settings for an AC game
Sigh...

Funny, for the last two AC games the major complaint was
"meh Ubisoft is lazy and stupid, they don't try anything new." Now, that we have a setting that demands a shift in gameplay. Everybody is complaining "Oh no, they are ruining the series".
Really?
I had a blast with all of the AC series ( AC II being the best, imo). They had a great working concept that even carried Revelations, which was pretty much letdown in all other aspects. I'm looking forward to this game and the setting. Apart from the colonization games and some obscure strategy games, the American Revolution is hardly covered in gaming (or pop culture in general). I'm glad they didn't go with the ACW setting, that is overused.

also in that time period if you wore a red scarf you were murdered for being a traitor.. running around with a bird hood and arrows all the time would NOT work... not to mention looking 100% different from everyone else... USA = paranoid in that time period... hell we murdered people for having a seizure because we thought it was witch craft

But the American Revolution is an interesting topic for an action game. Until now it had all been stoic, stat-heavy strategy games.

Not that I'm exactly optimistic, but they might be able to pull it off.

And I think the american revolution isn't really covered at all. I can hardly name 10 games by heard that take care in that timeframe. And 95% are strategy games. (And, of course DOTT :- )
