"we've got a bleeder" is also something the Raiders say in Fallout 3, although I don't think that's a very likely origin for this reference.

Albeit true it's not very likely since it fails at the Good _Old_ Games thingy :)
I'm going with Apogee / 3D Realms on this one
Hmmm, I'm thinking Capcom's RE 2. Reach for the STARS!
I'm going with Apogee/3D Realms both because of the clues, and because of sheer hope, I was just thinking and holy shit I used to own probably 80% of their catalogue, which makes them pretty awesome on my book.
I would say Apogee/3d Realms as many others
They've just changed the compo rules because so many of us are obviously guessing the right answer :)

Yes....BUT Bethesda has other games as well....like STAR trek, shooters would be fallout 3 and call of cthulhu, The wolf thing would be the expansion to Morrowind called blood moon where you can become a werewolf. The rest I don't know though :P. Might be a deal with Bethesda that's the news....would be kinda cool to have the elder scroll series on here.
I highly doubt we will see any of Bethesda's games here anytime soon. Not because they don't have good or old games but because they are ..............Bethesda.
There is just way too much evidence here for it to not have something to do with Apogee. "Reach for the Stars" sounds like an old Apogee title called StarGunner. The "Gibs galore" can only be ROTT, also an Apogee title. And for some reason, way in the back of my mind, a little voice keeps screaming at me that "Pump Up The JAM" is somehow connected to Blake Stone. Dollars to Donuts says its going to be ROTT, or Blake or Duke3D, or possibly just the news that Apogee\3DRealms has gotten on board with GoG, I don't, but the connection is too obvious for all the people voting for Apogee to be altogether wrong.

Explain the "we've got a bleeder" clue then. Sounds like a phrase you hear at a hospital rather than a shooter, in my humble opinion.
Apogee :(
I don't like them :P
Nobody's weighed in on "Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today?" It's the first line of New York, New York, which hints at Max Payne, which further hints at 3D Realms/Apogee.
Max Payne would be awesome to have on GOG. That was a fun game. The sequel wasn't too bad either.

The games were great! They were simple fun and what more can one hope from a game. They were a bit short though...
