The summer heat is really pissing me off, so unleashed some of that rage here at the forum with my caps lock key. Sorry, should of unleashed my rage a better way.

Paintball? Synchronized crocheting?
@gamerager, As, I said, that thread is just an example because is the most recent one. But never mind me, I'm out.

macuahuitlgog: He is pissed off that a GOG member stated in the title of his thread that he wants no DRM discussion in his thread and people still posted about DRM in his thread. So those people were behaving like trolls or can't read. Elenarie isn't mad because people have anti DRM discussions here at GOG.
avatar
GameRager: Unneededly pissed, imo. It was two posts and nothing else came of it, yet OP acted like the whole thread was full of real trolls posting in all caps & 100% off-topic. Also the posts in question were civilly written and not trolling(or having like trolls) in the slightest.(One of which wasn't even discussing the D3 DRM at all, just stating that the user thought it was impossible to have a discussion about D3 without dicussing the DRM.)

Regardless, OP could've written their initial reply better, imo....the way it was written it was as if someone pissed in OP's coffee so OP decided to kick a dog that barked at them later in the day in response.
Maybe he just has low tolerance for things we find okay or not so bad? And the stuff that has been pissing him off has been building up. It wasn't just that one thread.

I have done it before and I do not want to do it again since I learned the hard way.

Caplocking words against somebody is a method trolls use and you and I both do not want that here.

Even if it was an "example", look at HOW you described that thread(being so "full of spamming" about DRM.). You specifically said things about that thread, you didn't just use it as an example in your OP post.

In the end I stand by my point.....you blew things out of proportion when describing that thread, imo....plain and simple. This is what I was addressing, as well as how you replied initially in the other thread.

Please understand, though, that i'm not trying to belittle you here or poke fun at you for malicious reasons. I am just trying to provide a rational outside POV to your inner mentality, as such. I hope I didn't offend you, at any rate.

In the end, I think we should all just calm down and focus on what the real problem at GOG is.....NO SS1/2. ;)

Which is why I sympathized a bit in here towards OP. (We've all been in such situations at some point.)

That doesn't change my point though.

I admit the OP post was a bit(or so) over-hyped and embellished in some areas...but what cursing? The F word was used once, yes, but I don't think it was that bad in that respect. :\

I'm still here. Was going to go in bed (3 AM here), but decided to stay a bit more and work on some docs.

I hope you're feeling a bit better, at any rate. (You seemed tense earlier) I would have hoped you would've read post 37 to get a little chuckle at the end there, but sadly you left. Oh well...read it now. XD

Hey, I have very low tolerance towards some things, so I snap from time to time (that's how it may look in others' eyes). In my view, I firmly believe that I'm doing the right thing, and venting off like that was, and it still is, justified.

I try to be friendly, always neutral, and do not do things that I would not like others to do to me. Just as I do not post in... I don't know, PS:T related forums, lets say, about how the game looks incredibly old and bad, and keep repeating that in every damn thread about the game, even though I may be very well off topic because the other posters were focusing on the writing and music in those threads, I expect the same to be true in threads I actively participate in.

But sometimes, tbh, some people really piss me off (Yes, it is me being the idiot one here by being pissed off by the intermetz, but nevertheless, it still happens!). I expected to be trash talked, no offense taken. ;)

Hehe, if you keep up this nice guy act I will be forced to give you positive reps . . . =)

Concerning the D3 thread . .

I don't mind the positive posts, the negative posts or the neutral posts. The thread title is "Diablo 3 is out" and no requests concerning post content was stated by the OP so . . . IMHO, community members are free to post their personal impressions of the game . . good, bad or otherwise.

There does seem to be a small group of Blizzard fanboys "trolling" the thread . . posting a rebuttal(s) after every negative post. Bullying anyone who has a negative opinion or discounting legitimate concerns about the DRM the game is sporting. Other than that, I've not noticed other trolls, spammers or shits in the thread.

I can be that way sometimes, too, if the issue is one I feel strongly about and I am worked up from other things.
--------------------------------
Being friendly is good and all(As long as you don't compromise yourself in some way, like sacrificing truthfulness for the sake of more civility or JUST to save someone's feelings, that is.), but you CAN be truthful and argumentative and still be civil imo. I mean if we all liked the same things and had the same viewpoints where would the fun be in that? Variety in such is the spice of life, I think.(And we all know that the SPICE MUST FLOW...ALWAYS...;)..)

As for expecting others to be the same as us...well it's kind of like assuming, and we ALL know how that goes, right? ;) I say we should just try our best to be happy when the day goes our way and people do things we like, and try our best to ignore or get a laugh out of the things that bother us.
----------------------------------------
People piss me off too...ever just wish you had your own Death Star sometimes? (Pew pew PEW.....zzzzzzZT!)

Elenarie: 12 different posters, 10 discussing the game, 2 talking about the DRM (even though in the thread's title, it was clearly mentioned to leave out the DRM discussion). Even 1 post that in no way relates to the thread's topic can be considered spamming.
we obviously have a very, very different definition of spamming. in my view, one irrelevant post is one irrelevant post - its not spam. i had always considered spamming to involve posting multiple messages or sending multiple emails - usually trying to sell things, but not always.

i tend to agree with this definition:
