Smannesman: Partly because I'm a SW fan of course, but partly also because of the story/singleplayer experience which is done better than in any other MMO I've played.
The single player experience was awesome. That is what kept me playing for months. I leveled up 5 or 6 characters, and got two to level 50. I eventually joined a raiding guild and was having fun doing all the hard/nightmare operations. Then patch 1.2 came along (about 3 weeks ago) and it made my sniper the
least effective DPS for raids and my mercenary the
least effective healer for raids. The patch pretty much sucked most of the fun out of the game for me.
Maybe they have gotten around to fixing the sniper thing; I think the nerf was an unintended consequence of a more global change. However, it is too late for me to go back now. I have unsubscribed and moved on. That is the danger of an MMO; give a person a few weeks (or even days) not playing, and they eventually realize that they don't really feel like playing at all anymore. At least that is how it has been for me in
every MMO I have ever played.
