I'll be honest here, I've never tasted one I haven't liked. Can I still enter?

Of course. Just tell me the one you liked less.

Betadine throat gargle is pretty nasty. It's not a syrup, but close enough.

SirPrimalform: How appropriate, I'm in the middle of getting over a cold which has moved down into my chest and I've been coughing up unpleasant lumps all day. The worst tasting cough medicine I remember having was called nirolex, but I haven't had any in years. On the opposite end of things, I find covonia rather delicious. Thanks for the giveaway!

NameGoo: Nasty. I think you might be worse off than I am.
Nah, I've not had any dizziness or fever. I take the lumps of 'stuff' as a sign I'm on the mend though!
Haha, if someone could make medicine actually taste good they would be worth Trillions.

Succrettes are horrible, TheraFlu mentioned already is vomit inducing.

Dimetapp, I tried my kids grape one time, and it tasted like rancid grape, not grape, gotta love it.

Well, that's good. I've never had a cold move down to my lungs though, so it still sounds awful to me.

That's why I usually stay away from sugary cough syrups. They don't do anything to actually make you better anyway, they just relieve symptoms. That Nyquil is kicking in though, I had to type this sentence out three times. :P
Nyquil is't that bad actually, it's a hell of a lot better than when the syrup used to be green. You want something really nasty though, get a bottle of thermaflu and don't store it properly (Meaning, let it chill, heat, loose cap, however) for a couple weeks.
Cherry flavored medicine.... I hate all of it....

You're lucky, I don't think it's uncommon. It's become a chest cold as opposed to a head cold now. It might be a secondary infection that got in while my immune system was busy fighting this one or it could be the same bug that's just spread, hard to say.
I take my cough medicine in pill form! Does this mean I can't enter? :-(

Apparently I can read some Romanian. Awesome!
I don't think I can find this here, but I'll check the natural remedies section for anything made out of pine cones.

Azrael360: ...when I was a kid, I had to drink for a long time (months) an horrendous multi-vitamin medicine because I was too skinny... Maybe it did worked, because now I'm skinny, but with muscles! XD
I think my grandmother gave me something like that once. She put it in orange juice to make it taste better, which imo just made it worse and made it last longer. Really nasty stuff.

doccarnby: I don't actually think I've ever had cough syrup. I think my parents were always the "have some tea and suck on this Ricola" types. I think we had some of that pink shit, but that's not a cough remedy, right? That's upset stomachs.
Peptobismol? I love that stuff, it tastes like melted pink peppermints. Reminds me of Christmas...

jrqualls: castor oil, nastiest tasting stuff ever, not even sure it's real medicine but used to be given it as a child for a cough
I was given this in the hospital a few years back in order to clear my bowels prior to xrays. I remember it tasting like wood, but it feels like swallowing someone elses's spit. I don't know why it would be given as a cough medicine though. Unless the idea was "don't cough or you'll shit your pants."

ashwald: I don't take any cough medicine, but I've heard horror stories about bizarre concoctions containing raw egg yolk. *shudders*
That is sure to make me throw up. Not even gonna try, I hate eggs. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Kasbe_DRC: Ok, you asked for it: Hot milk with honey. Yuck!
Tasty! :)
What a nice way to start my morning, thanks.

Starmaker: Hot milk + garlic + honey. Ewwww.
Yeah, now it's nasty...

Stooner: ... Pennyroyal Tea... ;p
I haven't listened to Nirvana in a while, thanks for that. :)

Here's the English version of their site. Maybe you can order some there, or find out if they sell it in Canada.

The Walmart brand generic stuff is the worst I've had.
Nyquil is the worst I've had in recent memory.
I avoid pills mostly, and just stick with tea and honey and lemon.
Although I did take some pills recently. My granny was abnoxiously persuasive :) . I have no idea what it was (Cold.... something), although I'm sure it was not poison since I'm still here, but they were horrible. Although not as horrible as some herbs she boiled for me in milk. I had to put in several spoons of honey to hide the foul taste of them.

A nice strawberry cake. Now that would be an awesome pill.
