I hate animals, cats, dogs, whatever, I fucking hate them.
I also fucking hate how in America we have this stigma about treatment of animals.
Pigs, cows, dogs, rats, cats, elephants for fucks sake, all have a personality, and are all intelligent creatures, but why should we kill and eat cows and pigs and not the rest?
This hipocracy is terrible. While I admit this person treating that cat in that manner is entirely unnecessary, I just don't understand why every one should give a damn. We care more about some shit head cat than we do a black child who is being raised as a whore.

I could only wish we in Norway had a police force set up specifically to punish those guilty of cruelty to animals.
We kill and eat cows and pigs because their meat is a rich source of proteins and nutrients for us.

That's your choice. As far as I know nobody is forcing you to take care of any animals.
To me, how we treat each other, animals (and to a lesser extent the environment) dictates the kind of people we are. If someone would abuse something so completely defenceless then they deserve to be locked up and kept away from society.

Your post is so terrible.. but to be fair, English probably isn't your first language.
Otherwise, really? garbage is that terrible?
If you're so high and mighty, why don't you live what you preach and stop using a computer, which will be discarded anyway? Why not try to go and recycle it, and then live life out on the land, without producing garbage yourself?
You must know that not every part in a computer is recyclable.
Animals don't produce garbage, they also don't produce art, despite whatever creations they make, they don't make art, they make tools designed for a specific purpose. Animals don't make computers, they don't make cars, they don't communicate on the same levels that humans do.

Yes, not every part in a computer is recyclable - however, it could be. It's just that much cheaper to produce as it is and economics > human reason for a looong time.
Animals don't communicate on our levels? Claims without prove my dear. And that remains as long as we fail to understand them. Whales could communicate over the half world without the use of computers or a fancy internet (of course that was before humans made so much noise on the seas).

Agreed. However, as long as humanity fails to care about animals, we're certainly not better, but just the top of the food-chain. And I wouldn't believe that the guy your presenting here, actually would care about that black child either. It would probably be just another fuck for him, as he only cares about himself.

I don't understand your objection.
The problem wasn't that the cat was killed, it was that it was abused. If a kid was blinded, suffered severe head trauma, couldn't walk, and had his/her jaw bone ripped down, there would be far more media coverage and far more outrage.
Anyways, the legal penalties for this crime isn't as large as if it had happened to a human. The max this guy could get is two years in jail and a $10,000 fine. If he had done it to a human, he very well could have gotten life in prison.
We consider human life to be more sacred then that of other animals. I'm not sure why you're so upset.

I can certainly agree with you on this aspect, we should care about animals, I personally just dislike them, and feel as if we should focus on each other first.

It's considered newsworthy because the perpetrator hasn't been caught yet. Anyone who would damage an animal like that is a threat to other humans as well.
