Summit: Well it's a trailer so i doubt they'll make any major changers in the graphics department when the game comes out. I guess we're stuck with Geralt's new appearance after all. I'll have difficulties getting used to it though.
Believe me you do need to play the first one. If you read the books and loved it you're in for a treat.
If enough people complain then they may do something about it. At least I hope so. I thought that his face could look a little better in the first one, but this is a definite step back.
I've read the books but that was over a decade ago. I guess I'll have to read it again before playing :).
michaelleung: Did Geralt get Japanified?
I was right! It is Square - Enix / Eidos! :P
Aliasalpha: I've got a comment, gametrailers.com is fucking SHIT. God damn I've never seen a website fuck my system up like that one does (even mega flash strewn rubbish lags less) and ads before each video?
They are not that bad. I don't get any commercials :P.
Aliasalpha: As for the trailer itself, it wasn't that interesting. I've got a fairly notable dislike for the fantasy genre, the only reason I play them is because I love RPGs and if I remove the fantasy genre I'm pretty much left with fallout, mass effect and nothing else.
Deus Ex? System Shock? Alpha Protocol?
And CDP apparently really likes countdowns lately. From the
the Witcher website's code:
<script type="text/javascript">
swfobject.embedSWF('assets/odliczanie.swf', 'odliczanie', '100%', '780', '8', false, {},
{bgcolor: '#000000', menu: 'false', wmode: 'opaque'}, {id: 'odliczanie'});
</script>
Odliczanie = countdown.
And if CDP-Tom in the comments is indeed CDP-Tom, then we can expect a Q1 2011 release.
