Sooner than I expected :P.
Edit: Well, I expected at least some comments. No opinions?

Looks pretty good. I will be interested to see whether this has more direct combat as they intended for the console version of the first game. I didn't particularly like the first game's combat so for me this would be a welcome change.

Apparently (according to the designers' comments on official forum) the last leaked movie (the one from Russia with Żagnica) was played with a controller, so I think that "arcade" controls will at least be an option. Which would be a good thing in my opinion.
I think that Geralt's face still needs some work however.
I would like to comment, but I don't have words for that. Therefore, I'll just post my feelings. O.o
What the hell hapened with Geralt's face? Can't say i like his new looks.
Apart from that, unfortunately major detail, trailer looks magnificent. I loved the first instalment and i still think it's one of the best games ever made.
Kudos for CD Projekt

I said that Geralt's face still needs some work. After watching the trailer closely I have changed my mind - it needs a major redesign.
And I still need to play the first one. But by the time I have a PC that can actually run it I will probably be able to buy "the Witcher Trilogy: Ultimate Enhanced Edition" :P.

Well it's a trailer so i doubt they'll make any major changers in the graphics department when the game comes out. I guess we're stuck with Geralt's new appearance after all. I'll have difficulties getting used to it though.
Believe me you do need to play the first one. If you read the books and loved it you're in for a treat.
Did Geralt get Japanified?

I've got a comment, gametrailers.com is fucking SHIT. God damn I've never seen a website fuck my system up like that one does (even mega flash strewn rubbish lags less) and ads before each video?
As for the trailer itself, it wasn't that interesting. I've got a fairly notable dislike for the fantasy genre, the only reason I play them is because I love RPGs and if I remove the fantasy genre I'm pretty much left with fallout, mass effect and nothing else.
I also miss out on the character/story attachment hook because I've not gotten a chance to really play the first game, it's that whole "non turn based games need to run at more than 3fps to be playable" thing...

He's listened to Turning Japanese one time too many

From the little we see there, it looks good, IMO. I don't have a problem with Geralt's face (don't see the Japanese connection).

If enough people complain then they may do something about it. At least I hope so. I thought that his face could look a little better in the first one, but this is a definite step back.
I've read the books but that was over a decade ago. I guess I'll have to read it again before playing :).

I was right! It is Square - Enix / Eidos! :P

They are not that bad. I don't get any commercials :P.

Deus Ex? System Shock? Alpha Protocol?
And CDP apparently really likes countdowns lately. From the the Witcher website's code:
<script type="text/javascript">
swfobject.embedSWF('assets/odliczanie.swf', 'odliczanie', '100%', '780', '8', false, {},
{bgcolor: '#000000', menu: 'false', wmode: 'opaque'}, {id: 'odliczanie'});
</script>
Odliczanie = countdown.
And if CDP-Tom in the comments is indeed CDP-Tom, then we can expect a Q1 2011 release.

Agreed, having seen it twice, his face is certainly different, although 'Japanesed' is far from the first thing that springs to mind. Besides, it's never going to be as bad as the original face of the main character from Risen (that I am still blighted with since I bought it for the 360).
Overall, the trailer has got me excited for the game, although I had to laugh when they juxtaposed the phrase 'dazzling, state of the art visuals' with a woman's clothing magically dissapearing. Good to see your keeping it classy, cd projekt red.

In order: Overrated shit. Potentially good but hampered with awful controls. Not out yet

Agreed. Which is why I never use it. Yet it's the most succesful, purely because they have a lot of money. The system doesn't work.
