Navagon: There's a censored version of the game? Only my copy is completely bloodless and that's not down to censorship. But rather the Pixar nature of the game.

There sure is.
When I shoot someone, I don't get red blood effects on the model but rather black bullet holes which almost look more painful than the blood.
When I gib someone I see some green juice and then springs, bunnies, clocks and other thing floating around.
No kidding.

Is there any justification for that? Or is it simply failure to move with the times? Either way, given the state of distribution of western games in Japan, that must suck.

If anyone was to gift a Mirror's Edge to me on steam for $4.99 then it'd be much appreciated. Could gift something of the same approx value on steam or gog in return. Account name is similar, but without the end "r" and with a "_" in the middle.
I'm in the gog steam group if that helps.
Also, if they do a good deal on Dark Messiah then i'd appreciate it if someone could let me know the price... i can't even see it from over here so i have no idea.

Im from Germany and i want to buy two packs, which are both either not available or overpriced.
Digital Distribution Service: Steam
Steam username: dragonmasterx2
Games:
id Super Pack 34,99 $ + vat ( no availability in Germany)
Lucas arts adventure pack 2,49 $ + vat ( 6€ in germany and one game missing)
im not 100% sure about the usprice and i dont know the exact ukprice, but both would be ok for me.
It would be verv very nice, if somebody form the uk or the us would gift me this 2 packs.
Im willing to pay per paypal and even a nice extra bonus ( say 5$) for the inconvenience that this will cause.

If there is, I haven't seen it stated anywhere. And yes, it sucks. But there are ways around it (for example, the UK version of GamersGate for better priced EA titles and cross-region gifting of course).

I'd recommend not gifting Messiah of Might and Magic from germany as the resulting game may be cut.. not sure about it but I thought that game was a bit gory.
Anyhow, anyone from US / Canada around to help a fellow GoG out ? =)

I was unfortunatly unable to help dragonmaster out with gifting the games due to getting authorization errors from steam. He sent the money, paypal accepted it, got through paypal but on the final screen for steam it threw up that error. So he still needs help.

there is a patch available for the german version to remove the censorship

He is not on GoG and he is not the kind of person who would spend their time doing favors for people he don't know.
I might be able to help though. I will try something out but it will take a while. So if you havn't found help tomorrow I might be able to hook you up.
I have a rack full of 9 servers standing in canada, some of them running windows. I should be able to access the steam store from there .. it would not work with my german paypal though, but there is a system called entropay to create region-free credit cards.
With a combination of those 2 things i could prolly get the games to you, the only issue is that entropay would charge me 5% i think fee to load the debit card. Still, if you havnt found help tomorrow I will help you out =)
